First time here as we were trying to support local business. Started off frustrating because the website doesn’t allow you to make reservation for parties of less than 5 but no where on the website is that explained. We took our chances and got there amidst chaos on a Friday night. You have to order at the counter, and the line was long. The self seating might be fine when they aren’t busy but it was a hot mess of confusion since it was packed and there weren’t any tables. The staff was not particularly helpful or friendly (except for one young man) but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were probably overwhelmed. When we finally got a table, we ordered a flat bread, a portobello mushroom burger, the sirloin special, the chocolate mousse, and each of us had a drink. The flat bread was basically a small pizza and was nothing to write home about. The crust was more like that of a frozen pizza crust and the sauce was blah. Not worth $5 let alone $10. The portobello burger wasn’t anything special. The fries did not appear to be house made but at least they were hot. The sirloin had no sauce on it and didn’t appear to be seasoned at all, not even salt or pepper. We ended up taking the chocolate mousse to go as we were already disappointed and just wanted to leave. I have a hard time believing the chocolate mousse is homemade. There was almost no chocolate flavor, it was pale brown in color, and it had the after taste of a box mix. We can’t afford to go out very often and this was a bitter disappointment. Not sure I would even give it another try...
Read moreLove this place. This is my 5th time ordering from here and I can't stop, I won't stop. So today I got the House tomato basil soup and garlic bread, if you want comfort it's in that cup of soup. The soup, she wanted to give tomato but all I got was the essence of it. The tomato was foreshadowed by the creaminess which made the soup really heavy. I could taste the cream and cheese inside the soup more than the tomato, which is what I really wanted (if I hadn't made that clear in my last three sentences ). The soup just needs a little balance but the flavors in the soup really come through it even has a little kick to which is a great surprise. The garlic bread was yum, just a little too greasy for my liking. Rosa's Falafel Taco, what I have to say is mmmmm great falafel and the portions inside the taco were just right. Great cucumber salad inside the taco just needed a little more acid. Overall I enjoyed my meal and will still continue to come back and try something new next time.
and if you didn't know you can find them on UberEats. (best thing my food was still hot...
Read moreWho knew such a small place had a huge punch?! What a wonderful experience I had for my 45th birthday. I selected Locavino because it was the closest winery to the escape room we attended. The reviews I read spoke highly of this establishment so I decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did! It was 10 of us and no reservation was needed! We got there and was immediately seated. Once we realized this wasn’t a “server come to your table” restaurant, lol - we immediately went up to order our food and wine. Both the food and wine was absolutely delicious! 😋We all ordered a variety of things from the steak and cheese on bruschetta, jerkalya, chicken Alfredo, the burgers and surprisingly, shrimp pizza. Oh my, oh my - EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!!! And the wine we all chose to drink was very tasty. I wish I could remember the name but we all got a bottle to go! I highly recommend you try this spot, trust me…you won’t be disappointed! I will be back to visit soon. Thanks Locavino for making my 45th birthday one to...
