Snooze fest and terrible service. I have gone back to this place and tried so hard to give it a chance but the service staff just don't seem to want you there. Only reason I have gone back for is the food. This place has genuinely GOOD food, but the time it gets to even get a drink from the bar I am ready to walk out. I have gone on a Wednesday, Thursday, and now a Friday. Wanted to make this my regular bar. That won't happen, and after today I'm good. Sorry, but as delicious those wings and Irish wontons are, I can forgo them for a place that can genuinely cares for my patronage. Seems like only one guy there that gets it, who I happen to see often in the bar. Probably the owner or something close, but don't expect anything out of anyone else. I will sit at the bar by myself or with a friend or near it and have to go get my own drinks and menus while there is a group of waiters standing in the front. Today, I had my drink slammed on the table and practically had to get get my food from the kitchen. All the while the waitress had enough time to wait on the people behind me as if they knew each other from high school, giggles and all.... Not the first time.
You guys need to seriously think who is at the bar. That's where your money is. Also, as a 24 year old I was surprised to see how much this place lacked in my age group. Which is is fine, I guess you have your target customer base. On a Friday I expected something different. As an owner I'd think I would want to get some more young proffesionlas or college students in there. Unfortunately, I would have to say we tend to overspend in drinks and food, where you win. Unless you are happy where you are. But hey, that's just a humble opinion. In the end I'm NOT EVER...

We were looking for a quick night out on a random Wednesday night. Since we preferred to support something local, and had driven by this restaurant recently, we gave it a shot. Overall, the place had great patronage on a Wednesday night, but maybe because it was trivia night. While trivia took up over half the restaurant, it was not too loud or interruptive to those not playing. The server was busy but did a good job checking in on us and keeping our orders and drinks coming, so that was appreciated. We were excited to try some Irish cuisine; however, most of the food came out as either bland or not as expected. The staff was great and split our shepherd’s pie into two bowls without asking, but the taste was pretty bland. The potatoes were lightly charred which was a good flare, but tasteless and the meat sauce just seemed like a light brown gravy sauce. The Irish Wontons, which should be called Irish Spring Rolls due to their presentation, seemed the most interesting on the menu. Ultimately, they were well made but were just pure potato filler. We couldn’t taste any corned beef or cabbage and didn’t really see much of it either. While the prices weren’t awful, I don’t quite think they matched the quality and quantity of food.
Ultimately, Molloy’s was a neat opportunity but unlikely something we’ll return to, at least not for a while. The food was mostly run-of-the-mill and just seemed to be an American bar with an attempt at Irish food. Was still happy to support...
Read moreWe pulled up in front of the restaurant around noon on Wednesday, and after looking very closely we still couldn't decide if the place was even open - it was very dark looking inside and the parking lot was fairly empty. We parked anyway and tried the door, and found they WERE open.
A sign informed us that it was happy hour, so we settled in to peruse the menu. We couldn't decide what to order, so we asked the waitress what they were known for; she said that the shepherd's pie and the chicken pot pie were favorites of the regulars. My husband opted for chicken wrap and french onion soup, I decided to go with the recommended chicken pot pie.
My husband said the soup and wrap were very good, but I have to say the pot pie was the BEST I have ever had! The chicken and vegetables were plentiful, and the sauce was nice and creamy and not too heavy. But the "crust", ooooh the crust on top... that was what made it so AMAZING! It was a thick square of super light, flaky, crispy puff pastry, and it was the perfect topping for the tasty goodness underneath. Unlike many people who order pot pie FOR the crust, I usually pick most of the heavy traditional crust off standard pot pies, but I ate every bite of this one.
We'll be back here again...
