Yesterday was my very first visit to this eatery and will be my very LAST time I ever eat from Nino Taco (Owings Mills). I love Mexican meals however, I never had such horrible Mexican dishes in my life...very distasteful :( My sons and I spent $48.00 on dinner. So overpriced for such horrible food. No worries Taco Bell. Their Mile High Nachos...NOT SO HOT AT ALL (burnt nachos, over cooked dried meat, most of the cheese dried out and stuck to sides of aluminum foil dish. Tostada was burnt with over cooked, dried out meat.. tasteless! Tacos were dried out with over cooked meat again and very little toppings. Salad... mmmm well, lets just say I could have shredded my own head of lettuce and sprinkled little salsa and 1/2 tsp of sour cream on the top. To top it all off when I went to the counter to get utensils, the Cashier was also the worker preparing the meals for every last customer that came through that door between 5pm & 7pm. She run water on her hands for few seconds then dry them on towel and proceed to prepare foods without gloves. Can I say ...I was "CRINGING"! Really Nino Taco???? MUST DO...
Read moreI remember Nino Taco was the place to eat for Mexican food years ago. I honestly could not believe my eyes at this location. There were no gloves in sight when preparing food and not one hand washed. What sent me over the edge is the lady opened a can cheese sauce and dropped the ENTIRE SILVER ALUMINUM CAN (size at least 3-4 quarts) ÓF CHEESE INTO THE HOT DEEP FRYER.THE SAME DEEP. FRYER MY FRIES CAME FROM!!!. I sat there for a long time.. Where in the hell do they do that at!! Who ever the owner you need to get here ASAP. As a healthcare professional its completely unacceptable. Yes, i had already finished eating when I saw this but that was final straw. Not to mention food area not adequately cleaned. I just pray i dont become sick. Staff was very pleasant but I will take a lil attitude for some good vs a nice attitude and become at increased...
Read moreMy dinner at Nino Taco last night was a total disappointment. Nino Taco used to be one of my favorite places. I hadn't been there in a few years, and it has definitely changed. My small tostada grande for $16.95 was much smaller than it used to be, and the tortilla was so tough it was nearly impossible to cut through. Of course the cutting was made more difficult because they give you cheap plastic utensils and that knife wasn't cutting it (no pun intended). All I could think of was my dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Glyndon a few nights earlier where I had eggplant parm (came with spaghetti, salad and garlic bread) for $16.95. For the same price as that small tostada, I got delicious food, with leftovers to take home, and they also used real flatware and real plates...a much different dining experience. I probably won't return...
