I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance was great, and we were all set for my birthday party (for which we had made reservations well in advance, as we were a party of 8).
Unfortunately, things didn’t get off to a great start and then just snowballed from there. All of the food came out at odd, juxtaposed times. For example, a few people had their entrees for quite a while before others had even received their soup or appetizers.
Of course, as we munched through our food (which was pretty tasty when we got it), none of the plates or used cups were ever cleared off of our table. Nearing the end of the meal, my mother started bussing the table herself and moving the large stacks of dishes onto a nearby empty table.
It was also quite a long endeavor - from the time our order was taken to the time the last person in our group got their food, it was about 2 1/2 hours. I fully recognize that larger groups take more time and effort, but had hoped that the advance notice and reservations might have limited that somewhat. The restaurant was not crowded, and other patrons that had arrived after us completed their entire meal well before some of our guests appetizers had arrived.
Overall, while the people were nice and the food was tasty, the experience was stressful and not at all conducive to a large group. Perhaps if everyone actually ordered in advance, or if you could ask for a limited, easy to prepare menu, things might be smoother, but if you are looking for a spot for a party or even a big family, this is...
Read moreToday we visited this restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately we can’t say it was a great experience. The food was mediocre at best. The service was fast and attentive but with the luck of professionalism. We are from former Soviet Union, visited Kavkaz area numerous times and enjoyed the real kebabs and other their dishes a lot. Any person familiar with this cuisine knows that kebab meats should be marinated (better overnight) before they are put on the grill. The meats we ate at this place were definitely not marinated. Everything we ate was too dry and could use some sauces like Tkemali. Or if you offer plane yogurt do not call it “yogurt sauce” because the sauce requires some more ingredience (like dill and garlic and cilantro and salt …) than your chef puts in it. The baklava for dessert was in reality some version of Russian walnut/honey cake, and wasn’t even close to the real thing with phillo dough layers and yummy walnut filling soaked in sweet honey syrup as it should be. All together it was a bland food with nice ambience and kind of...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! You absolutely need to give this place a try! The food is amazing. Flat out the best taziki sauce and hummus I have ever had. I don't know how you can get any more authentic. I also don't know how this place wasn't packed! Seriously! We did have to wait a little while for someone to first greet us, and then waited a while for the check. That said, the woman waiting on us was very friendly, polite and attentive to our needs. I feel the prices are quite reasonable - we had 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 sweet and hot tea for $68. Look at these photos of the food! My gosh the food looked like something from a cooking show or magazine! I am here on business but my coworker says it usually very slow like tonight. I will try my best to come back every time I am in the area. Please, if you do go, leave a review for them. I think it is slow because people don't know about it. I would love to come back next time and see the...
