Nut House Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Concerning the food, I would give it five stars. Thin crust, medium-done, their pizza is a crunchy, non-runny and low-oil treat. Their customer service, on the other hand, is one star. Today I ordered a pizza from them (it wasn't my first time) and the whole experience was infuriating. I ordered it online. When they were an hour and 40 minutes late I called them, and they told me their delivery guy wasn't feeling well but they would call him. You would think they would tell you if they couldn't deliver your food instead of making you wait. They called me back to say the guy is on his way, which leads me to beleive they just forgot about my order before. I get my food two hours after ordering it. I asked for a discount, and the guy on the phone just kept asking if I wanted the food or not. Also, you would think a medium pizza doesn't mean a small box with four slices carelessly...

Kosher Pizza is the mainstay at this simple parlor restaurant which has a tunnel oven and mostly takeout pizza which is quite good. Other items include freshly slivered French fries, knishes and various vegetarian versions of sandwiches, some named after members of the local community.

It is small with a few tables and chairs and overall décor shows considerable wear and really needs to be addressed and improved. In particular fresh bottles of spices would be a huge help to improve the eat in or take out experience and my rating.

It is located in a strip center in Silver Spring, MD (Wheaton) with limited free off street parking.

Wow! I waited for over 7 minutes to be helped for the DRIEST PIZZA I EVER HAD. To make matters worse, older guy walks in straight from outside and thought he was going to box my pizza. I had to let him know that your hands aren’t washed and that old glove he tried to put on came from outside as well. He then refused to service me, instead of apologizing for his ignorance. I know it’s diverse around here, but normalize hand hygiene, customer service, and common sense. Some of these people that work in these restaurants are disgusting and I experienced it today. Wash your hands and stop being so rude, I don’t care where you came from, doesn’t give you the right to be nasty!!...
