I brought a large group here and I completely regret it. At first everything was hunky dory, food was decent bar food, and the music was cool, until it comes to everyone getting their bills. Many, MANY, bills had items on them that were never ordered, and already PARTIALLY closed out so charges were harder to dispute. They did this to a lot of people and we had to stay late discussing with the bartender, who was incredibly rude and borderline racist towards my black friends.
When confronted with the issue, the older woman blonde bartender immediately refuted our claims and said she could do nothing about it, and was extremely rude from the get-go. She then accused us all of being sloppy drunk and not even knowing what we ordered, when several of us don't drink and simply ordered drinks for the people being celebrated that night. After a while of back and forth, she then said she can only take the food off and that she HAS to charge us for the drinks (which were an additional $50 of "no one ordered this so I'm where did it come from?"), and after further discussion finally took them all off the bill - aka lying through her teeth hoping we'd just suck it up. Pathetic behavior.
I've been a bartender for almost 15 years and I have never once in my entire career heard of bartenders partially closing people out before their tabs were finished. Sounds extremely shady to me, and since the staff was being rude when confronted with that, it only solidified my concern for the establishment.
If you want to get jipped, go ahead, but I don't recommend this place, specifically the older woman blonde bartender who was extremely rude and...
Read moreWent for lunch with a small group. Fresh coat of paint and new decor on the walls, dining room and bar area clean. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. What was lacking was the pub ambience. No music playing, Bar Rescue was on the sound system. The menu had no descriptions and when you have a hamburger that comes on mashed potatoes instead of a bun, I would think you might want to state that. Food seemed to take a while to come out even though the place was not busy at all, only two other tables. One of us ordered a baked potato, but about 20 minutes later was told they weren’t ready because they take like an hour to cook. That kind of says the prep work was not done since we were there at the beginning of the day, not like we were there at closing and they sold out. When the food finally came out: Corn Beef and Mashed Potatoes was a very large portion. Beef Stew was an okay portion but subpar quality in taste. Fish and Chips were two small preformed pieces of frozen probably out of a box and soggy with grease. The chips were not anything to write home about, luke warm temp. Wish them the best of luck but I’ll be driving to Annapolis if I want some decent Irish Pub food....
Read moreLocation: Prince Frederick, MD The place was completely empty in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday. After being seated the waitress was fine. It took a few minutes for her to find the items in the handheld ordering device. I ordered the reuben. The meat was dry and the bread was very burnt. The sandwich was black on one side and almost as burnt on the other side. I took one bite and that was enough. I wasn't going to send it back because that terrified me. If they sent out a completely burnt sandwich once, what are they going to do to the replacement. My husband said to say something. I did and asked for it to be replaced with the smash burger. My husband's French dip sub wasn't any better but he at least made an effort. Only able to eat about a third of his. By the time he was done my burger still wasn't ready. I canceled it and asked for the check. The "manager" came out at the end with the bill. He took my order off and gave us a $10 gift card. Lol! I'll gift it to an acquaintance. Definitely not...
