To all you complainers, if you don't like our theater by all means go somewhere else it will probably be better for all of us.. Not the Managements fault for what movies come to our Theater. All depends on the size of the Theater , how many Screens the Theater has. Seat capacity. People making the movies will take this stuff in account and probably a lot more things, then they decide where the Movies will be going. The Owner may also have a say in what Movies he or They want. Not Management. So you may need to contact who decides what Movies will play at all Theaters. After reviewing all there statistics they do to decide.
Also our Theater does take major credit cards..
The people that work at our Theater are Friendly and polite..
Not rude, no time for they're paying Customers, Waldorf and Annapolis. Need some training on its OK to smile and be friendly.
And please talking about being clean, Annapolis, especially Waldorf are always messy. Why bigger Theaters more People, not enough staff, so the ones there are usually and not all, some ( very few) are polite and friendly. Also The other Theaters, groups of teenagers will go to movies where you spend 50 bucks for two to watch or try to watch the Movie but no there going to cuss, talk, laugh loud amongst one another. Have no respect for the other people trying to watch the movie. Not right.
We don't have to have Police Officers/ w K-9. Because of fights and a few other things, thank the Lord.
So you see they're are good things about all these Theaters, and bad. So please. Don't bad mouth our Theater, We like our Theater. Sure all of them could focus on having someone always out front taking care of where patrons get the drinks, popcorn, candy napkins, salt and whatever else. And keep it wiped down, stocked any trash left on counter or floor to be on it to pick up.. All should clean bathrooms every 1/2 hour.. Lived in Calvert County 30 years now, I have never seen a roach or mice when we have gone to movies. Seen one broken seat recently actually, we just went back a week later new movie in. Husband and I noticed the seat had been fixed. Also I do have to say at least when you go to our theater when you go to sit down your feet don't stick to the floor like good old Waldorf. And have empty popcorn containers and whatever else on the floor. Just saying.. Maybe one day we will get the nicer seats who wouldn't want to have a newer bigger seat to watch a Movie..
Had a good night at the Movies the other night. Place was clean, popcorn fresh, paid with credit card. Good service. Leaving Theater staff member Dusty, or Dustin very nice. Polite and helpful when we arrived and talking with us a second when we came out.. We love the sweet southern charm, and a lot more relaxed...
Read moreIve been taking my Grandson age 5 to Calvert Village for 2 years, and before that my kids all young adults. When we first started going to Calvert Village it had the on its way out of business dollar theater feel about it. Its gotten cleaner, new movies, and then a total face lift. The recliners are great what an improvement now its has the "first run movies theater" feel. Great Job guys, my Grandson is going to be a movie junkie right along with the rest of the family!
Since the above post we have made the "Flagship" our regular movie place. Starting outside the theater its clean and safe. None of the cutting in line entitled to do so mentality, foul language, and attitudes you encounter in other places. Everyone waits their turn and the lines move quickly. The people are really friendly and the prices for movies and snacks are very competitive. Inside the theater the seats are equal to the red leather at the mall. All in all it's a great place to spend a couple hours lost in a story. After one afternoon movie with my Grandson I thought I left my cell behind. I went back and one young lady searched the theater and took down contact info in case my cell turned up, this was great service after the fact and after they had my money. With the quality of the experience, and the family atmosphere there is no reason to burn gas and time going out of town for a movie. My only gripe is "Star Wars" was gone before I could see it. PLEASE bring it back for a second run....please!...
Read morewent to see "captain america civil war" last night. its the first time i've gone since apex sold out to flagship. not impressed. we had some apex gift cards we got at christmas and were going to use them. not accepted. however, they did give us a number to call to get a refund. havent tried it yet. they had redone this theater, replacing the high school auditorium type seats to wider easy chair style reclining seats. they were ok, but weren't functional yet as power hadn't been applied to them yet. i personally prefer the old style. Snack bar had been redone with a new counter top and the lobby had some fresh paint and mood lighting in an attempt to modernize. popcorn is now served in a bag instead of a bucket and fewer options given in drink sizes. overall, i have to say the renovation changed the whole mood of the the theater. it used to be a comfortable, quite venue that was seldom filled to capacity unless it was a block buster. we've often gone on a second week of showing and only a handful were in the theater which was one of the things i liked about it. now, seating capacity was probably halved and it was filled to capacity on the second week of playing. so much so that an usher had to come in looking for empty seats so people could sit. i heard them say you will be able to go on line and purchase your ticket and pick your seat soon. wont't that be fun......anyway, not bad, just not a quaint little country theater any more. guess that's progress in...
