My husband and 2 boys were so excited to eat here. Total let down. There were only 2 others tables occupied so I figured the service would be fine, I was wrong. He took our order and never came back after he brought our drinks. The food came out spontaneously, I recieved my food and my son's food on the same plate. My spring rolls came out 15 minutes after I ate. And worse of all my husband ordered all you can eat sushi and his order never came. In fact the sushi chef sat at a table next to use and ate like a savage. I called the only other person to our table and made her aware. The order was never communicated to the sushi chef. We told them to forget it. She removed it from the bill and said sorry. Still our server never came back, there was no offer to remedy the situation, no manager or owner in sight. Won't go there again. Such a disappointment. I think that if someone opened a restaurant in such a competitive industry they would be present or atleast make sure the staff is trained to provide decent service at a minimum. The service from the restaurant there before "the looney bin" was 100 times better. We went there at least once a week because we liked the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here with my daughter for the sushi. The tempura and fried crab rolls both came out cold (meaning the fried seafood had clearly been sitting out a while). I wouldāve asked for something else had I known those rolls wouldnāt be fresh. I had to cover the flavor with eel and soy sauce. Iām a huge sushi fan so this was really a total let down. If my daughter and I werenāt so hungry, we wouldāve left.
The service had a lot of gaps as well. It was rather slow (maybe they were short staffed though?) with the exception of them getting my refills (which I appreciated). Iām willing to dine in again to give the place another shot. It is still fairly new, so maybe theyāll take these reviews to heart and ensure their sushi is fresh and the service is streamlined.
On a lighter note, I did get one of the Cajun seafood bags to go on Motherās Day. I was absolutely impressed by the flavor and portion size. Iām from the South where crawfish broils are huge, so that was a trip down memory lane. I definitely recommend sticking to the Cajun seafood and avoiding the sushi. There are a lot of great sushi restaurants in Baltimore and DC if youāre family wants to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFantastic food, quick service, great prices. I went here on a date with my fiancĆ©. He got the Ma Po Tofu, I got the Signature Combo #1 w/ garlic butter & Old Bay, medium heat. We shared spring rolls and veggie tempura. Food came out quick, all fresh & ripping hot. He said the tofu was crispy, like it had a tempura batter on it. My seafood boil had a nice heat to it (was worried medium wouldnāt be enough, but it was perfect). Everything was perfectly cooked - nothing over- or under-cooked.
I also noticed they have more āala carteā style seafood boils. My fiance is allergic to all shellfish except shrimp, so he was happy to see he can come back and also partake in seafood boils. We both have a good handful of allergens each, but the menu was clear and we had no issues finding food we could eat. It was hard to decide what to get because there were so many options!
My only complaint is that the lights are pretty bright. Thatās the only thing I can think of. Overall atmosphere was good, the music choice was fantastic. Definitely...
