I hate to write this review because I've always liked this pizza hut, but unfortunately, this location, as well as Pizza Hut's corporate customer service gave me the worst experience. On Friday April 5th, I placed an order for curbside pickup. I was running errands, and placed the order in the early afternoon after I got off of work. I arrived at the Pizza Hut 2 hours later to pick my food up. Of course because I placed the order 2 hours prior to this, I figured my food would maybe not be hot, which would have been fine with me. When I arrived and alerted them that I was there, my first issue was that nobody ever came outside to bring my food. After waiting for about 20 minutes I decided to go inside to get it. As soooon as I walked into the lobby, there was a large mass of customers, all of which were very disgruntled/upset. Apparently this Pizza Hut had messed up multiple people's orders, as well as other issues. After waiting inside for about 15 minutes, I was finally able to get to the counter to speak with an employee. I told them that I had been there, (between in my car outside and standing in the lobby), for 40 minutes, and I was there to get my supposed curbside order. The person at the register, which was the only person up front dealing with all these irate customers, went to look for my food. After looking in the same exact area 4 times, he told me that he didn't know where it was. I then asked to speak to a manager. I happened to see the manager on duty, and this man was chilling and hiding behind a wall toward the back area. I loudly but politely asked could he come speak to me and he did. I told him my issue, and he did not seem too concerned. He did not apologize at all. He did proceed to look in the same area that the other employee looked in and told me he would figure out what happened. He did not! He ran back to the back area again. At this point I'd been there over a hour, and when he came back he lied to me and told me they had messed my order up and threw it away. I knew it wasn't true because I observed them giving wrong orders to multiple customers and doordash drivers. He told me they would remake my food quickly. This took forever as well. They finally gave me my food after I'd been there almost 2 hours. I asked what sort of compensation I would receive for this horrible inconvenience and the manager simply said "yea we will do something for you". They did nothing. I asked him for his name and he would not give it to me. He just went back to the back again. I took my food and left. I then called the corporate customer service and they told me someone would reach out to me in 2-3 business days. The next day I received the automated survey about my experience and I told the truth again about my horrible experience. Fast forward to May 20th. Over a month and a half later and I STIIIIIILL NEVER heard from anyone from Pizza Hut. I called them again and had to retell the whole story. They said there was no supervisor they could transfer me to, but someone would reach out in 2 business days. It is now May 23rd, and I still have not heard a word from anyone. Almost 2 months later, after my 2nd call, and I still have heard nothing. I spent $30 that day, and had my evening ruined. Placed the order and didn't get food until almost over 4 hours later. This is absolutely ridiculous. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen, especially from the corporate office. They do not care about their quality and or customers apparently. Pizza Hut corporation should be ashamed of themselves!!! I will never go to one again and I advise everyone else not to as well. Read moreTerrible customer service at this location: 9119 Annapolis Rd, Lanham, MD 20706. I placed an order at 4:11pm, waited over an hr and still had no order. One of my family members had to run errands and when they opened the front door to leave, what do you know, our food was at our door step. It had been sitting there for who knows how long- the driver left our food without knocking nor ringing our doorbell. That's unacceptable! We didn't ask for no contact delivery, and even if we had, the driver should ring the doorbell or knock on the door, it's standard procedure. I called their number and dialed 3 which is their 'order concerns' option, the phone endlessly rang. Tried their 'place order' option 1 and of course, they did answer there. Informed the lady of the issue and she transferred me to her "manager". Manager must be deaf because it rang endlessly without anyone answering. Called again and the lady transferred me once more, only this time it went to their call center and they told me the store is the only one who handles quality control related issues and that if they transferred me back to the store and they didn't answer then my call would get bounced back to call center. Which it did. Train your drivers better, or better yet, hire people who actually have some common sense not to leave food on someone's door step without informing the customer who by the way, gave you a great tip to leave their food sitting outside. Read moreI'm giving this location this score based on how often they get my order correct, and how long they make you wait past the time they tell you it will be ready by.
I have ordered from them dozens of times, and they have gotten my order correct about 1 out of every 5 times. Mistakes include leaving off toppings, making the pizzas' ordered the wrong size, and completely forgetting to cook ordered side dishes.
Additionally, they are almost never ready at the time they tell you they will be. They can make you wait anywhere from half an hour to over an entire hour, even for orders of only 2 or 3 pizzas. And even when they make you wait that long, you will be lucky if they get it right!
Considering this, I'm not surprised when they refused to deliver to my address. I'm technically outside the radius of their delivery zone, BUT the drive is literally only 10 minutes long, 15 minutes if there is traffic. I go and pick up from them all the time, but the one time I couldn't because of a severe leg injury preventing me from driving, I made a request that they deliver to me given the short drive to my house. The manager refused, despite being a regular and loyal customer, and I have been despite all of their screw ups.
In conclusion, don't order from here. This location is absolutely awful, and I am no longer wasting money for the kind of atrocious service...
