Just Jerk — Restaurant in Maryland

Today, Saturday June 7th, I was in the mood for some gooood jerk chicken, and being that I don't live in Maryland, I decided to find a caribbean restaurant in google close to where I was and found "Just Jerk". I read lots of the reviews and some were good while others weren't. I decided to take a chance and go there. I greeted the young lady and she politely answered. I asked her how she was doing and she was quite pleasant. I ordered a quarter jerk chicken, (dark meat), I brought it to my car as I was heading back home to New York. I started chomping on the jerk chicken when I got back to my car because 1) I was hungry, and 2) I wanted to judge it for myself. First it was very well wrapped, and when I opened the foil, I was already pleased with the looks of the chicken. It was slightly charred on the outside, but looked moist as ever on the inside, and it was covered with a sauce I've never seen before and for the record I've had jerk chicken from many different restaurants in New York, including various restaurants in Jamaica. I bit into that chicken, and omg...that was some goooood tasting jerk chicken. That sauce was a whole different level! It was just perfect. The chicken was moist on the inside just like I like it. I actually went back inside the restaurant and complimented the young lady on how freaking amazing that chicken tasted. She was very receptive and thanked me. I told her I was heading to New York at the moment, and she told me to make sure I come back when I return to Maryland, and I sure will. I give a 5 star for their jerk chicken. I absolutely 💯 love everything about this place and I've been coming for a while. They have a newly put together Lunch special which includes a full entree and a drink plus !!! A Beef/Curry/Spinach Patty/. The Customer Service tho is very genuine and kind these ladies are always pleasant Today I spoke to Mrs./Ms.Karen soo sweet. The last I visited I'm blind & vision impaired and they offered to help me out by coming from around the counter to help me exit to the car along with two gentleman customers safely. Today I got the Lunch Special which ends at 2:30 🕝 pm everyday Mon-Fri, I tried the half brown stew half curry!! My 1st time doing the brown stew instead of jerk and I found My Go-To!! it's seasoned heavy!!(as every meat is) but the way it's stewed!! I licked my fingers and sucked all bone gristles! The stewed gravy/marinade is Loooooove!!.. when it's on the rice heavenly!!! The container is Pack it In compact!!! Filled to the Rim!!.. it's enough for 2 people or 2 days!! but the portions and the price is gladly pay!!!... Overall if you're looking for excellent genuine customer service, consistent/grade a quality island food come here!!! You will NOT be disappointed at...

This place is ok. The people are polite.

I initially ordered my food online and while en route and AFTER speaking with someone on the phone received a text telling me my order had been cancelled and it would take a few days to get my money back. I called and asked why was my order cancelled when I literally just hung up. The lady asked my order and said just to come in to order and it was canceled because nothing was currently cooked (ooooookay that made NO sense at all since I had to get there to pick it up so just cook it in the meantime)

The place itself has a slight mildew smell to it as if there was previous water damage. They have food “premade” put up inside a heat lamp enclosure which I don’t particularly care for. I didn’t realize it until I was leaving with my food and someone else ordered and they gave it to them from that little enclosure.

When I walked in a guy was demanding a refund and seemed very frustrated . It appears as if they kept getting his food wrong (I’m not entirely sure the reason).
