Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Maryland

Sunday around 4:30PM pull into the drive thru here and only one other car in line at the other drive thru lane. No cars in the parking lot, so they got nothing going on and should nail this order super quick....hahaha. Strangely the order from the other car in the other lane is showing up on our screen as they are placing it (that was mildly entertaining) and no one responds to us sitting there. About 3 minutes later (when the other car in the other lane is finished), they come on to take our very simple order - 10 piece SPICY family meal with 2 sides. AFTER we pay, they say they don't have chicken ready and it will be 3 minutes so we need to park on the side. 13 minutes later they bring our order. We get home and open the box, we that find even though we ordered SPICY, the digital display said SPICY, and our receipt said SPICY....they gave us regular non-spicy, and not even crisp fried at that. So we sat there 15 minutes for them to fry chicken (doesn't meet anyone's definition of "fast" food), and they didn't even fry the correct chicken. Also, no ketchup for the fries and no butter or honey for the biscuits (which are dry and dense like hockey pucks). I should have known when I saw this place has a whopping 2.7 rating, but I figured everyone ELSE must be too picky.....but no it's not "us", it is them, and 2.7 is probably too high. Skip it and go...

This is one of the worst fast-food establishments I've ever attempted to dine at. Unfortunately, it is close to where I work so I break down and try every once in a while, just to be reminded of how terrible the service is.

Last year I received a Popeyes gift card for my birthday, but this location refused to accept it as payment. They explained their manager didn't believe in gift cards, so I had to pay another way. One month later they were selling the same gift cards but still wouldn't accept mine as payment.

Recently, I attempted twice in two weeks to get spicy chicken, which you would think they'd have since it's what they're known for. Both times I went right around noon, the beginning of traditional lunch times, and both times they were completely out of spicy chicken. I asked why they never seem to have spicy chicken and all they did was shrug their shoulders and suggest I eat mild chicken. No empathy, no explanation, no attempt to appease me as a customer.

I will no longer attempt to eat here and will tell anyone who will listen to avoid...

Love popeyes, but really disappointed with this particular location and probably will not be coming back.... the more I have been coming here, the more negative experiences I've continued to have. From them forgetting sauces or mixing up orders with the wrong items, but the most disappointing have been them constantly serving us OLD CHICKEN on a REGULAR BASIS. I've worked in food, I know it's a lot of work and tiring, especially when it's late, but I never would sacrifice food quality or PURPOSELY give customers the wrong item or old food because I'm tired or being lazy and dont want to prep more food. . . Especially somewhere like popeyes that is first of all, one of the most expensive fast food chicken places around, and secondly, popeyes claims they train their workers to throw out chicken that has sat out for an unacceptable amount of time, they obviously don't do that at this location.
