Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Maryland

I consistently hear from my friends about how they have awful locations near them and I consistently have a good experience here and felt it was worth mentioning to even out their score as right now it’s not reflective of this location. I can only assume this franchise owner wants to run a quality spot with consistent results, and I cannot complain. I’m about 3 miles away and am unable to drive due to a medical condition, but it doesn’t matter whether I order door dash (with consistently good deals on their wings specific to this location) or send someone to get take out for our house hold- it’s always fast and well done. Occasionally the pieces might be a bit small or a sauce missing if I’m looking for something to nit pick and improve on, but it’s definitely well above average compared to other fast food locations on BNP. It’s consistently here in under 25 minutes (usually less) and no mistakes that I’d say are unreasonable to assume are occasional human error, and I never complain about it at the frequency it happens (rare). I’m lucky to have such a good location with quick service and tasty hot food time...

I went through the drive thru and wanted to pay for my 5 pc tender combo with a gift card that i recently got as a gift. The manager kept swiping the card and you can tell she was confused. She proceeded to tell me the gift card didn't work. A guy came over to help her but that didn't go well either. He told me the same thing after he kept swiping the card. Instead of them keying in the gift card numbers or using another register, they asked did i have another form of payment. The guy hollered to some in the kitchen did they want him to put it in as exact change and just give me a receipt because their drive thru numbers were increasing. I gave him my debit card as i didn't have time for the foolishness. I then went inside to use the card and the cashier at the register just keyed in the 16 digit number & it worked. I got food poisoning from eating at the Popeyes near my house a couple weeks ago and the corporate office still has not responded even though I've called numerous times and I filed a report with the health department.I told my friends about it and last week when I went to visit a friend in the hospital I gave his girlfriend a ride she didn't have a car. She insisted on going to Popeyes for her and her boyfriend andshe bought a whole bunch of food and she gave me a chicken sandwich because she bought one too many.
