I decided to try this place since I came to BK for a milkshake.
Both Ripieno's and Jojo's had no customers at the time, but I said might as well try it for the heck of it.
The roof of the building or vents were leaking so they had trash cans collecting the water at those areas. Not the greatest since it's newly renovated...
Service was okay, lady at the front was nice taking the orders, the guy who boxed up the freshly made pizza in the back seemed nice as well.
The pizza itself was not worth $9 maybe in Ocean City on the Beach, but down the street in Gaithersburg inside a BK where Giuseppe's offers two pieces of pizza and a soda for six bucks and makes the price feel kind of steep for just a huge slice of Standard Pizza nothing special. Taste was Bland and there was not enough sauce on the pizza so it was basically like you were just eating bread with cheese and pepperoni I saw very little sauce. Fun to try but I probably wouldn't go back.
There are better more high quality options for the same price and the only factor that this place has going for it is the size. Which once you go to an actual Quality Pizza Place like Armands or Paisano's you will not come back to this place but it is convenient! If you're looking for something that will help you to get over a hangover this might be the ticket but if you're looking for actual good pizza you might want to skip this one.
This Restaurant Group really needs to evaluate things that work in different areas as the same thing that works in Ocean City Maryland is not going to be the same thing that works in Gaithersburg when there are so many other options they should have chosen something like the Bojangles that they initially had planned to go with and not this place. Simply because we do not have a Bojangles here in this area and it's actually good and they could have chosen two other options that would have been easier than the two that they picked simply because they worked in Ocean City. It is a costly decision that will probably follow them for quite a while if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRipienoās pizza tastes like it lost a custody battle and gave up on life. If sadness were a topping, they gave me extra. Iāve had better pizza at gas stationsāand those at least come fully cooked and donāt talk back.
Tried this dump for the first (and last) time today. The pizza arrived looking like it had stage fright: pale, floppy, and sweating grease. I politely asked if they could cook it a bit more, and they looked at me like I asked them to donate a kidney. Apparently, finishing the job is not part of the Ripienoās experience.
Woodfired? Where? There was more char on me from standing in the sun outside than on this sad, soggy circle of despair. It was so undercooked Iām pretty sure it was still rising. We left it on the counter like a warning for future patrons. The food here is utterly disgusting.
Also, the service? Imagine being ghosted in person. Rude, dismissive, and somehow smug about serving what I can only describe as pizza-shaped slime. And donāt get me started on the pricesāthis place charges gourmet rates for something that tastes (and looks) like it was made in a malfunctioning Easy-Bake Oven.
In summary: if you like raw dough, passive-aggressive service, and paying top dollar to throw up in your mouth at the mere sight of their pizza, Ripienoās is your Mecca. Otherwise, save your money, your taste buds, and your dignity.
Anyone with even one functional taste bud should avoid this...

Let me start off by saying... I really liked their pizza. Very tasty and quality ingredients. The cheese is real good and they give a good amount of it. I like their crust, almost like thin and crispy. Their pizza is like NY style, which I like. I like how they serve pizza-by-the-slice and that it's practically hot-and-ready with little to no wait time. It's no surprise their pizza pie and pizza-by-the slice is huge. I also like how they're located inside a dining hall with 2 other restaurants.
The only downside I have is their price. It's a little pricey. Even if their portion size is big, the price isn't competitive. For example, for their pizza-by-the-slice it's about $8 for cheese and $9 with pepperoni. You can buy a 1-topping medium or even a 1-topping large pizza at some pizza joints for the same price. If you knock the price down, $2-$3 down, then they would really knock the ball out the park! Do that, and I would change the star...
