I ordered a steak and cheese bagel, and added horseradish scallion and bacon cream cheese. It was not amazing. The steak was not what I'd call steak, I wonder if they should call it whatever kind of steak it really is. The everything bagel was missing salt and was a bit dry. The coffee was lukewarm. There appear to be some people who love this place and maybe this was an off day. Next time I'll try something with just the cream cheese on a bagel because I couldn't taste the cream cheese on my sandwich. I didn't really understand the decor either.

I’ve been twice now. First I got a sausage egg and cheese, today a steak egg and cheese. I think going forward I’ll be sticking with Taneytown across the street. The bagel itself is great, however nothing is seasoned. My ā€˜steak’ is just an awkward unflavored meat slab. And for $11 (I got the cheddar cheese bagel which was more) it was extremely disappointing. Taneytown and even McDonald’s are a better option.

I went on a weekday for breakfast. There is plenty of inside seating. Order and pickup at the counter. I got a steak, egg, and cheese on a jalapeƱo bagel. It was great for me as I'm on a low sodium diet, and this was not overly salty. It was obvious that there are multiple regulars. Free parking; located on the second floor with ramp access.

My son always comes to get a toasted everything bagel w/plain cream cheese & bacon; he loves it! Today, I tried them for the first time and I got a jalapeƱo everything bagel to go; took it home to add my vegan butter & vegan cream cheese. I tasted the bagel plain (and still warm from being freshly made today) first and it was delicious w/fresh pieces of jalapeƱos baked into & throughout the bagel. I couldn’t believe how good this bagel was! Usually, I have to toast my bagel, then add butter & cream cheese BUT this bagel was so good and still warm from being made, that all I did was microwave it (because I wanted to make sure my butter melted all the way when I put it on) for 10 seconds (didn’t turn rubbery and remained just as fresh w/the top still slightly crispy from being made) and add my butter & cream cheese-it was heaven LOL; I wish I would’ve gotten more than one! Now I see why my son is hooked.

Notes: -Son’s sandwich is $7.18 after tax. -If you want a half dozen or more of a certain flavor(s), pre-order the day before for pick up the next day. -1/2dz is $10 before tax; I think the full dozen is around $16/$17 before tax. -Plain cream cheese is $3.95 before tax; they have flavors too, but I don’t know what all they have nor if they cost more. They make their own bagels and...

The food is fine.

However the service was very bad. The person who can after me ordered a muffin, and then asked for a cup of ice. The owner said to get a cup of ice it would cost $1. And then she asked for a extra set of plastic fork and spoon. He also tried to charge for that too!!! I was witnessing this in complete disgust, as I come from a family of restaurant owners. An empty cup is typically $0.1 (in Maryland), and usually because all the plastic silverware comes in bulk, you give all of that for free. The entire episode got out of hand. She ended up taking a few extra forks and knives and the worker came out from behind the counter and started making a huge scene.

For what? .50 cents worth of stuff? None of this happened to me, so I am not even posting this out of anger. I generally think this was really poor treatment and behavior on the business...

Still not entirely sure why people love this place. Bagels are definitely decent, though not amazing. Service is insanely slow, even for simple orders to which my simple orders have almost always been incorrect. Most recent example was asking for a couple bagels in a bag, untoasted, unsliced, with cream cheese on the side. Shouldn't take any time at all. Instead, I waited 15 minutes while they sliced the bagels, toasted them, and put them in a bag with cream cheese on the side. Not worth the cost or wait. Would rather spend 15 minutes driving to Goldbergs and getting amazing bagels in a...
