Sorrento's West — Restaurant in Maryland

It pains me greatly to give a bad report about one of my most favorite pizza places in all of Maryland ! I have been eating here and enjoying their food for as long as I can remember ! I haven't been up here for some time so I was excited to finally visit and was intent on enjoying some of the really good food I have come to love and remember ! :) unfortunately this particular Tuesday evening was a complete and utter failure :( I called in ahead of time since I was Still out shopping locally I placed an order for a large cheese pizza, french fries and a large drink , they said it'll be 20 minutes, I was there in about 1/2 hour , gave them my name and told them I had already pre-ordered but there was nothing available for me at that point after half an hour ! 15 more minutes went by I watched people come and go and I couldn't understand why a large pizza and an order of fries was not ready yet!? Then someone finally called my name after almost 45 minutes since I called in the order ??, I went to the counter and the girl that waited on me couldn't figure out where my food was, she went into the back and talk to the two men working at the pizza ovens to ask them where the order was and they responded by walking over and pointing to the food that was already sitting there on the Shelf all this time !!! They hadn't made the fries yet and the pizza had already been sitting :( so by the time I got the fries that were now hot the pizza was cold after getting to the table to finally open it and eat :-( not to mention I had to ask 3 times to finally get my drink ! no one apologized ,no one said anything or even gave it a second thought !, everybody continued about their business after handing me the food , by the time I got it back to the table it was pretty much just lukewarm ,I was so hungry that I just ate it ,I was very disappointed as my favorite place was no longer my favorite place :-( I don't know if I'll ever eat here again or not, I was very disappointed not to mention it was the first time I had taken my new girlfriend to this place after bragging about it for so long ! so that was definitely a really bad first...

My first time eating there. My husband had been to the place when he was young and remembers it being cheap and delicious. Apparently that has not changed.. Very tasty, and very good prices. Steak and cheese sub was delicious with lots of meat. Pizza was delicious. Nice Crispy pepperoni, very good salty sauce. My daughter is extremely picky, especially about pizza and she loved it. We also got an Italian cold cut that was great. There is some type of meat on it that has a little bit of spice too it but not too much. I only like mild spicy things and it was definitely not too spicy for me. The only thing is that the steak and cheese and the pizza were both kind of greasy. Which normally I honestly can't stand. But it really was sooo good. I just blotted the pizza and the sub with napkins and it was fine. I definitely recommend this place. Oh also, the only thing I wanted to add was that my husband asked for "everything no hots" on the subs.. and the steak n cheese had a sweetness to it that I think was from sweet pickle relish. I ordinarily would specify exactly what I want on a sub, so this is my husband's fault lol. But I guess he thought that normally everything on a steak n cheese would just be lettuce tomato onions mayo and provolone. Anyway, i hate sweet relish but for some reason I didn't even mind it on this sub cuz it was just that good. I think it would have tasted better without it, but it was still extremely tasty with...

My goodness! This is some good a$$ pizza! No lie! The 3 star rating is undeserving!haven't been to Sorrento's since I was in middle school. I stopped in a week ago on a Saturday just for a single slice of pepperoni pizza and I can say with pride, it's exactly how I remembered. Cheesy, buttery crust, hot! Perfect! I wish I would have gotten 2. I dined in, the phone never stopped ringing. The wait time was 15-20 mins, noted!!

The next day, Sunday, I wanted Sorrento's again. This time I just wanted to order take out and come home to enjoy it. I tried ordering by calling the number on Google and Yelp several times. Back to back for at least 30 mins. I received a voicemail recording every single time. Finally, I just went to the place. It was around 8pm on a Sunday. I wanted a half cheesesteak sub and 1 slice of pepperoni pizza. Sadly the lady informed me they stop selling pizza by the slice at nice! HUGE BUMMER. The wait time for my cheesesteak was 15 mins, it took about 30. I should have eaten it in there because by the time I got home (just 10 mins of a drive) the sub was so soggy. Next time I'll get the sub plain with the fixings on the side!

Sunday - Thursday you can get a whole cheesesteak, regular cold cut or meatball sub for $9.99. Totally worth it because a half side...
