Starbucks — Restaurant in Maryland

The staff is usually nice. The younger manager is professional and so is the district manager. Unfortunately the older manager is has been rude and unprofessional. He usually leaves me alone now. Some people are nice and some people vary.

The staff is usually nice. Management is usually on point until recently this gentleman that’s always dancing here. Seems to have it taken it personal that I barely look at him because our gazes meet sometimes. He’s gone out of his way to talk to me in a hostile manner and I felt uncomfortable and reported this to the manager. She was not helpful as I got the feeling she had a special connection to this gentleman when I told her; he tried to talk to me 3 times! in a span of minutes. Even while I was in the phone. His friends always didn’t seem welcoming. One with a blue shirt followed me outside to hear my conversation. When I looked at him he left inmediatly. I noticed this behavior for some time now. And only mentioned it now because other than saying hi ONCE he wouldn’t say anything to me until I actually showed courtesy and talked to him briefly to avoid the ackwardness and it failed. He got worse. It was clear he was confronting me because he truly believes I want “to stare at him”. From experience I know how special some people can be. So the manager a lady was not helpful. She just ignored me and tried to make it seem like I was complaining for nothing. Even was condescending and rude. She had been helpful in the past. But unfortunately her connection to this gentleman is more than her professional duties. I wouldn’t complain unless I had to. I want to be clear they have been professional in the past. Especially the younger manager that works there. The older one has always been particular and even he’s been calm. But I guess if it’s someone they n own they can’t help. I don’t want to be rude but the gentleman I am speaking off comes there everyday and is always talking to everyone in particular to women and even though these women are reciprocal to his advances sometimes. It is uncomfortable as a customer to constantly see him talking to random women and creating a sense of ackwardness not just for me but for some of the people in this Starbucks. If he were to do this sometimes maybes but being that he’s an mature man he should be mindful. He always promotes his business within the establishment about gym of sorts. More power to him. What I don’t like he feels immune enough to try and harass me based on what I saw and heard. And the lady manager put me in a position where I was a “wimp” if I complained. It’s not about scared I simply don’t want misunderstandings. I don’t them to understand that because they showed me a low level of education in that moment but I wish they would. Not only that but I was clear I only wanted her to keep an eye on the situation while he provoked me but consistently bothering me while I was on the phone after I was courteous with him. It seemed unreasonable to try to harass me. If he had a question I wish he simply asked. Harassing someone is never a good...

It is 3 yrs since my last update and this Starbucks is stilldoing great.. staff turnover is high since they have a lot of kids from nearby high schools, but they do a good job hiring and training them.. The open Mike series are always fun when you walk into one unexpectedly tear music and performing. I really enjoy it. The only potential drawback is if you don't like teenagers In the wild. around 3 PM when school gets out, It can get a little crowded and a little noisy but they've never been obnoxious just teenagers. It's still a great Starbucks to visit.

This is my 2nd review of this particular Starbucks. My 1st 2 visits were 1 star only because the place was dirty, the staff was unpleasant at best and surly at worst and my drink was wrong and they were nasty about fixing it. For some insane reason I decided to try it again. I was shocked! The remodel made it spacious looking, it was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. One gentleman was even putting the little green stoppers in the hot coffee drinks as they sat on the mobile order pickup counter. The turn around in this store was extraordinary and everyone in this region and especially their new staff deserve lots of praise. It is great to know thst I can go to this store instead of avoiding it!

Most employees are nice at this location however no matter how descriptive I am regarding my drink order they do not get it right. I ask every time for my coffee to be completely stirred with extra almond milk i like my coffee creamy. Im not sure how much more detail i can give. Regardless they do not stir it ever. I always have to ask for them to fix it which never works. Other locations have no issue stirring my cold brew and making it creamy. This location literally gives me half coffee and half almond milk unstirred every time. And its not yummy like when other locations make it. I don’t like to complain but for the amount we pay for coffee at Starbucks they should get it right. I also don’t think Starbucks would approve of wasting product like when they give me a whole cup of almond milk on the side so i can go home to fix my coffee. Which btw still tasted disgusting at home. Please understand this has been multiple visits and attempts to give this location a shot. But i rather drive to olney location at this point. Not to mention the young lady at the register today said nothing at all i walked up and she stared into space i had to say hello even then nothing very dry.
