EDIT (9/37/2024):
Wow! We are back to one star guys! Unbelievable. SHUT DOWN YOUR STARBUCKS APP FOR THIS LOCATION IF YOU ARE NOT OPEN OR CANNOT FULFILL THE ORDER. YOU ARE STEALING MONEY. I show up this AM AFTER my app tells me my food and drink are “ready to go” and some lady goes “WE NOT OPEN TILL 7” and blocks me from going inside. Mind you, this is despite the hours saying open at 0600. The only saving grace is the lovely lady with poor English who is the barista and the location. It’s getting really hard for me to keep going here.
EDIT (9/5/2024): Starbucks management must have listened on at least one thing! They hired a new lady for the AM shift (Jinhyun I believe is her name). She is absolutely phenomenal and a breath of fresh air! What great service and great work ethic. Give Jinhyun a raise!!! She is holding this place up!
As for the homeless, this is still an issue - though I suspect there is only so much Starbucks can do about it. The community leadership needs to come together and fix the homeless issue. Not by making more housing (they often don’t even want to be in a house, ask them) but by creating and enforcing loitering laws.
OLD REVIEW BELOW: 0630 this morning and the place is not only crawling with homeless (this is every morning), but the lady who works here is AWOL and a homeless man had to tell me “she’s in the bathroom.” There is a sign saying CLOSED up at the counter…but this is during open hours…She comes out and looks as though she’s been crying in the bathroom and says it will be a few more minutes—she still has to turn the lights on etc. Her hands are all wet touching the tops of our coffee cups as well. I feel very uncomfortable getting coffee here. Starbucks upper level management needs to...
Read moreNormally I wouldn’t be reviewing a Starbucks because, it’s a Starbucks. However, this particular store really surprised me on how bad the service really was. Almost every single time I go there, the staff is on a break. One time I even saw the staff sitting in a table next to the Starbucks, on her phone not doing her job while there were many customers waiting. The last straw for me, was when none of the Starbucks workers were there, so a worker from Harris Teeter was there. The poor guy didn’t even know how to make any drinks except coffee. Please do NOT go to this Starbucks at all costs. I strongly encourage going to the Starbucks on Norfolk avenue that is 5 minutes away from this one because it has much...
Read moreI trully dislike to give bad reviews but: this particular Starbucks employee tends to be rude every single time I go there. I work dealing with people every day so I understand why occasionally one just doesn't feel like smiling, but just a bit of politeness...
