I really wish there was a way to give 0 stars. This was by far the worst dining experience we have had. Superbowl Sunday..so as you would expect it was not busy in the restaurant. There were plenty of staff working, but we seemed to be ignored at every turn. We waited 10 minutes before anyone greeted us at the door, 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence at a table, and another 15 before out drinks came out. Finally drinks came out. Ordered food, another 20 minute wait. Then Ashley our waitress starts bringing out our kids dinners. While trying to set our sons dinner on the table, she spilled an entire glass of strawberry lemonade on our table...most of which landed right in my husbands lap..running off the table in EVERY direction, also getting our 5 yr olds pants, and ran off the table into my purse and shoes. She apologizes, hands my husband a single napkin, and then leaves to continue to bring more kids food out. A SINGLE NAPKIN to clean up soaking wet pants and a dripping table. We had to ask another server for a towel so hubby could clean his pants off. They were literally dripping wet. I had to pour ice cubes and strawberry chunks out of my purse. Luckily I was carrying my cheapy purse last night. Kids food came out. THEN 15 minutes later my husband and my food came out. Our kids were done eating before we even got our food. I ordered the shrimp/parm/steak medium well with mash potatoes and veggies. One end of my steak was practically mooing, and the other end was burnt. Not sure if they get the concept of medium well....it was nasty and hard to eat...especially since only the 1/3 in the middle was done right. Potatoes were cold in the middle, and rock hard on the outside like they had been sitting under the warming light all day. Hubby had a rack of ribs and fries. Fries were so cold they felt frozen, no seasoning. As we were finishing up our meal, the waitress offered my husband a free little glass of chocolate mousse to apologize for the spilling the drink. I am pretty sure my mouth literally fell open, because she then went to get the manager that approved a 10% discount on our bill. Still very insulting considering EVERYONES dinner was ruined, my son and husband were both wet and our food was terrible. When we got the bill, all they did was put the 10% discount on my dinner (the less expensive of the 2 adult meals. For our $75 dinner we got drenched, had horrible food, and insulted. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...

The manager Ann-Marie reached out to me within 2 days of posting my original review. She apologized profusely and agreed that the service we received was poor. She asked that we come back again and give them another shot. I told her we would give it another try. Tonight we went in, and it was a completely different experience. Kylee our server was the best of the best. She was super friendly. When she came to take our order she sat down like we were old friends. She was on top of everything, total rockstar even being the only server in our area on a busy Friday night. Appetizers and drinks were great as well. We really enjoyed our evening.
Original Post: Hadn’t been to Applebees in years and thought we would give it a shot for date night. The food was awesome! Not busy at all. The service was AWFUL! After being seated the waiter Anthoni asked for our order with an obvious chip on his shoulder. When I asked for more info about Happy Hour specials I was told “its right there, you can read the flyer.” We ordered our appetizers and drinks which were brought out promptly by a different server. No words were said just appetizers set on table and walked away. No plates or napkins were brought for sharing. Anthoni walked by our table 3 times never stopping to see if we needed anything, or if we were enjoying our food and drinks. Each time he walked by he was grumbling or sighing annoyed about someone at a different table inquiring about a food item that hadnt been brought out yet. We waited at our table for 15 minutes with empty appetizer dishes and empty glasses waiting for Anthoni or anyone to come by so we could order more drinks and dessert. He never came by. We ended up paying at the machine at the table and left. Im very disappointed in the customer service...
Read moreWell...we waited for a seat...no biggie...then once seated waited 15 min for a server to come over. Another 10 minutes to bring 2 waters when there were 3 of us. Lol. Math wasn't his strong suit I suppose. Then he came to take our drink order...had huge issues putting it into the little computer thingy....obviously not trained on it well enough...appies...same computer issue...and lack of listening skills as he asked twice what we had ordered....a woman server brought our drinks...spilling them the entire way...spilled on our table and no offer to wipe it up. I had to ask for napkins and do it myself. Appies came, good. Dinner came...no cutlery...had already asked twice before for some. Hubby ordered all you can eat shrimp, riblets, wings and fries....wings and fries came....had to ask why...said we had to order and replenish??? Seems very shady...our server was constantly on the computer thing trying to input orders and going back to tables to ask again what they ordered??? Odd...huge lack of training...older food runner lady is very inpersonable...I asked her for napkins and cutlery...her response "what?"..... the hostess did nothing the entire time we were there...except chit chat...oh..she walked around with a dish bin and asked customers to put their dirty dishes in it...what? Is she afraid to get her hands dirty? Weird...wrong profession....and she flipped a few menus....food overall was ok but took forever for someone to take our dishes...young kid...a busser...jathan. fantastic young guy! Busy the whole time! Great hire! I gave him a tip and he never served us anything! Replenished the all you can eat and got this...we replenished riblets, fries and shrimp...see pics....manager came over gave us 10% off bill for...
