Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Marysville

If it was possible, I would not give one star to this Very rude staff who felt the people standing at the counter waiting to place orders are just suppose to wait as they walked around like they were checking napkins,, straws and other contains which clearly were stocked. The kitchen just stood at their prep counters doing nothing but chatting while looking at the people waiting to place orders and the other two employees continued acting busy checking containers with the napkins and others which were clearly already stocked. Not one of the 5 employees offer to help the people standing at the counter waiting to be help or even acknowledged any of the people waiting as they continued walking around and actually went as far as stepping between the line which require those waiting to move out of his way when he had more than enough to walk around never once displaying any manners for the brushing against them even as they had to move in oder to get out of his way and not be force back and brushed out of the way no less than 3 times each way by the employee who also never did anything to offer any help. However, to make matters even worst, when this same male employee was asked to use the restroom he immediately stated they required payment of an order and not allowed to used the restroom until that stated requirement was completed. He then walked away and went to the rear of the kitchen and couldn't be seen. A female who had been standing by the drive thru window doing nothing then walked by the counter looking at the floor when passing by the line of people as if she didn't see people waiting and headed to walk out of the restaurant. Another person who was also waiting asked if she could let her into the restrooms and was quickly told they required payment of an order first and couldn't use the restroom until that then continued to walk out of the restaurant without offering to help anyone. At that point all of the people waiting with us decided to leave as not one employee made any attempt to take an order or locate whoever was in charge of supervision or any management of the restaurant. Everyone waiting with us also noted we never saw anyone who appeared to be a supervisor or a manager in charge of running the restaurant. It was also noted there were no other customers in the restaurant beside our group and the others waiting with us in the restaurant and no cars in the drive thru the entire time when we first arrived around 6 pm or the entire 20 or so minutes no one offered to take any orders from all of us waiting. It was clear to us the reason why they had no customers at dinner time in that restaurant. Certainly the staff felt it was more important in their mind for them to simple act busy and refuse to help the people they were lucky to have and just keep walking around until we got tired of waiting and leave. The male with some ego issues felt he would annoy us by repeating to force himself between the line to make us move out of his way when he clear had plenty room to walk around which in his mind was the best action he could think to do which Certainly resulted in not making any sales for the restaurant and many additional poor reviews they have earned. The only recommendation this restaurant has earned is the warning to not waist your time or money at this poorly...

I decided to wait for the boom of new customers to flood thru and the staff to get proper training before I went. I ended up at the Habit, really excited. You see this area doesn't have a lot of food options, other than Mexican food that while good doesn't provide the variety..

We ended up in the drive-thru and this is how the poor experience started. We ordered 2 salads just to be told they don't have the dressing for the salads but would be happy to give us ranch in lieu of it. This is no problem assuming they gave us the dressing. LOL

We ordered Spicy green beans and didn't get them and the burgers were cold.

I mean, I really would come to expect more but when I spend over $60 to feed a family 4 at a fast food place I would at least hope they double-check the bags PRIOR to giving us the food.

I'm not sure if it's poor training, or a labor shortage thing but the overall experience was awful and while this pains me to say it... Freakin McDonalds 1 block away does a better job and at least our food is hot..

I wasn't even going to post this as I originally posted just in my community forum, but luckily an employee from this restaurant was nice enough to remind me that businesses don't see what is posted on a local community forum so it inspired me to post here!! Thank you for the advice, now please...

This place is in my Top 5 fast food joints, Food is amazing, great quality everything is fresh and made to order, you can watch as your food is being made from the counter where the register is. The have a pretty good variety of sauces for your chicken bites fries or my personal favorite, Deep fried Tempura Green beans. (A must try) They have a house made sauce called boom sauce, it's spicy but not over the top. They also have a mini condiment bar with a variety of hot sauces like Cholula and A1 steak sauce etc. the best part of this is the banana peppers and pepperonciniss. They have signature milkshakes and sundaes along with in house made beverages, like Strawberry lemonade and Hibiscus agua fresca agua and Black Tropical tea. The Staff is very friendly and courteous. Service is above average. They have dine in, take out and curbside pickup. If I had to pick between the Marysville location and The yuba City location, I would pick the Marysville Habit every time, even if that meant I would have to walk across that bridge lol. No but seriously if y'all ain't been to the Habit Burger I Strongly recommend it, you will never look at another fast-food burger...
