I used to love this McDonalds (hereby referenced as McDs) because it honestly did have a hometown/ we care kind of feel. I knew some of the employees and I would ALWAYS spot someone I knew coming in or out. Yes, sometimes the service was slow, or they got the order mixed up, or other such minor issues, but hey it's McDs... I don't expect perfection. However, what I DO EXPECT is fast, cheap food that I can easily order and get out back to life. Tragically, since the colossal misstep of the refurbished dining room I fear we the good place this used to be is no more. Before I walked in I noticed a HUGE line in the drive thru. Now that they have the badly designed duel-line-up design, cars were jockeying to fight their way in front of each other. Not good. I decided to avoid the mess and tried to find a place to park, but the parking lot was still messed up from the construction and I had to go around the entire building and out onto the street a second time. No problem, I finally made it in. I wanted a $1 cheeseburger and a $1 large coffee. With all the drive thru traffic and such I had honestly already taken longer than it normally does and for me to be on my way... Upon entry I see guests milling about trying to figure out how to use the badly designed touch screens they now have in place at the front. I counted 3 double-sided screens. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE knew how to use them. There were specialists there who had obviously been hired/ brought in to teach customers how to use them, but honestly how long do you think McDs is going to keep them out front to just show people how to order? How much of a mess will this be at lunch when you only have 5 minutes? Sadly there was only room for a SINGLE cashier at the front! They want you to swipe your card at the touch screens, but if you only have cash you STILL have to wait for the cashier to pay even if you lower yourself to the touch screens. This is the worst of both worlds. Keep in mind there is only ever going to beONE cashier because the counter was designed so small and short that there is only ROOM for ONE cashier... I ordered, got my food, and left shaking my head. The dining room was badly designed and laid out with tall chairs and couches that no one is going to appreciate, it was dark, already dingy, and if you were eating in, you had to take a number and have your food served to you (which if you have ever had the pleasure takes about twice as long). My final appeal to this McDs: can we just have our simple, easy to use, and local McDonalds back? It's okay if you aren't like other sit-down restaurants because I don't want or expect you to be, be who you are and what made McDs great to begin with: fast, efficient, and SIMPLE. This new design is none of the three and has...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in how management handle our complaint and situation. I have 2 yr old twins and my spouse with me. We walk in and allow them to go play. I went to the counter to order, asked if I could have honey mustard i stead of ranch wraps and was told of course! At the end I stated I wanted it for here, got my receipt and number and sat down. We waited for over 20 minutes, watched other people recieve their food that was way after us, so I went to go the front and the cashier threw a bag at me-same one that took my order and said it was to go. I asked for a tray, she gave me an attitude and then came back with one. Once we sat down, we were missing sauce for nuggets, 2 chocolate milks and both of my wraps had ranch and no honey mustard- which stated it that way on the wraps. When I went to complain to the manager, I said to him "I am so sorry to complain- but at this point I am very frustrated" and then explained to him all the issues. He said they would have just given me a sauce packet of honey mustard and that the cashier should have never told me that. He also never offered to fix anything, apologize nor did he remake my wrap. In fact, he saw that I got upset to the point of crying and took my wrap and never resolved the issue when I walked away. I paid for food that I never even got!!! I am extremely disappointed for the way this manager handled or actually didnt handle the situation, and missed a training opportunity on what to do when a mistake happens. I hope this manager reads this and realizes the impact of one's actions and...
