As longtime customers, we have always loved Tacos El Rey. Recently my adult son paid for his order and before leaving was informed the order didn’t go through their point of sale system. He was asked to run his card again at a different terminal which he did. Both payments processed 9/7. Today (9/12) we had lunch as a family of four. Upon leaving we were told the order, once again, didn’t process. My husband returned to pay again at a different terminal while my son told me about his prior experience. After reviewing transactions, both payments showed cleared for the 9/7 service. Both payments showed pending for the 9/12 service. Husband and son both returned to the location to ask for a resolution, a refund for the 9/7 duplicate and a void for the second pending charge 9/12. The manager, via phone, stated no refund would be given as it was not their fault but rather the banks. (But wait, YOU deliberately charged us twice!?!?). We were told our only remedy was to dispute the charge through the bank. Be cautious if you are asked to pay again as you walk out the door!!!! This seems to be either a habit, or just poor business practice for this location. We haven’t had any issues with 116th street or...
Read moreThe atmosphere is props to Edgar and crew. I didn't even want to give 1 star for service- because of the 2 or 3 rude young ladies last night and a few times before that. Customer service is the core of your business and it matters in a small town, especially in marysville/tulalip. Today I ordered my daughter Flan and the bottom was rubbery and burnt. The rest was okay. The top slid right off. I'd like to also add that during my visit in drive through it as absolutely disrespectful that the young girls laughing over the top of my voice while I'm trying to place an order. The young girl taking my order was laughing right along with the others in the background. I explained my order more then 5 times and they still didn't get my order correct. I feel like an establishment that provides to our community should have professional faces selling their food products. Customer service was very below par. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 5 thumbs down. The community deserves better customer service. The owners need to hire people who enjoy serving...
Read moreI was at the drive-through, and I spoke to her in English, but she couldn’t understand me. I then tried in Spanish, and she still didn’t understand me. Even though I was being polite and respectful, she got upset just because I asked for a canned soda instead of the glass one she gave me. While I was waiting, she began talking to the cooks about me, making a big deal out of it. She was clearly mad, shook her head, and acted as if I couldn’t hear her talking about me through the drive-through window. She also never gave me my receipt. Overall, I stayed calm and kind throughout the interaction, but she was the complete opposite, which made me feel very uncomfortable...
