After driving past several times on our way to and from Blount Memorial Hospital to visit my father, we finally decided to give Andy's a try. At first glance, the place looked well-organized and clean. However, our drive-thru experience was very different. There were three of us in our party, and we ordered the Ozark Turtle Sundae, the Pecan Split, and a peanut butter pint. The lady taking our order said, “I’m making it as cookie dough instead of peanut butter—just let them know at the window. It’s not showing up on my iPad, but I know they just made a fresh batch, so we have it.” Unfortunately, when we got to the window, that wasn’t true. As first-time customers, we were very disappointed—especially since my boyfriend had been looking forward to the peanut butter, but ended up with the cookie dough flavor instead. With too many cars behind us, other orders already in hand, and our frozen custard was starting to melt from the delay, he just settled for the cookie dough rather than waiting for them to fix it. Not a great first-time experience.

What a great way to stay cool on these hot summer days! The concretes and cones are great. The frozen custard is delicious! They say it's made hourly, so it's always fresh. Mine certainly was on the day I visited. I got a Butter Pecan Concrete, and my dad got a vanilla cone. You can also buy it by the pint or quart. I can't wait to go back. I think I'll try the Strawana sundae next! I think it's fairly priced for how great it was. The concretes come in a hard plastic cup not flimsy paper or styrofoam. I'm pretty picky about ice cream in general. I was pleased with the flavor and consistency. And they do root beer or cream soda floats!

Two time scoops and tiny cup for $4. Asked are they sure this is $4 and two scoops and they said it is. Definitely not worth it. I’ll stick to my favorite.. elsewhere.

The custard is really good. The service is outrageously slow. We were in line at the drive thru for 45 minutes tonight. It is always slow, but this was ridiculous. My husband got a Latte with fudge which was supposed to have vanilla custard in it, but there was no custard at all, just an iced coffee latte with fudge, watered down, to boot. I ordered an Orange and white which is supposed to be orange soda with vanilla custard in it. It was a cup of vanilla custard with a slight splash of orange soda. It was white. Not orange and white. It was so thick I could barely get it through the straw (no spoon provided). It was extremely disappointing to wait 45 minutes and neither of us got what was ordered, made as stated on menu/advertisements on the building. We have had a problem with inconsistancy in ordering the same item on different visits and getting two totally different things both times. They need to really work on training staff how menu items are to be prepared and monitoring for quality control and consistancy. They also need to figure out a more expeditious process of taking orders and getting customers in and out in a reasonable time frame with what was ordered. The Manager/Owner needs to go see Chik fil a in Knoxville on Kingston Pike. They have an awesome process to get customers in and out with double lines wrapped around the building in lightening speed, great food, orders ALWAYS right. Unfortunately, it will be a while before we try Andy's again (hopefully by then they can work...

We went for the first time tonight. There were 4 of us. Talk about unorganized! They took orders and any window , people crossing over from one line to another, (no fault of theirs) it’s how they call you over. We placed an order for 4 items, they called my sundae at another window but how do I know it’s mine? 3 others ordered hot fudge sundaes. The rest if my family waited so long I already finished my sundae. They were calling other people’s orders out that arrived after us. I finally had to go ask for our 3 ice creams. They hadn’t even made them but made others behind us. What chaos ! The simple thing to do is take orders at all 3 windows but finish one order at a time and call your order by name not the item and certainly not one at a time. The manager was no help either she was just as unorganized. Please don’t tell me an excuse that they are new and it will get better. No! You need to have common sense before you opened and train people so they can handle long lines. The owner needs to be there and get it under control. Get with it people! It’s an easy fix , 3 lines take one order and fill it at the same time and call your order by name in the same line or add a...
