I'm writing just to say how impressed I am with Planet Fitness Marysville!!! This gym is always clean!!! When working out if you look up you will be looking at 20 big screen tv's !!! Also you will always see one or more of the a polite staff members cleaning all of the time!!!! The equipment is always in good working order and spottless!!spotless!!! Very important and very impressive indeed!!! If a piece of equipment is down,a work order is in place to get it fixed as soon as possible!!! High points again!!! The Planet Fitness app is really cool!! It has as one of its features, a crowd meter so that yiu can remotely tell how buisy the gym is before a work out!!! High points again!!!! The entire cardio area is first rate!! It is outfitted with very nice Precore , upright, and recumbent bikes. It also has some very nice elliptical machines, and a very good selection at that!! The cardio area also a number of very nice stair steppers and tread mills!!! High points again!!! It even has some upper body cardio machines that are hard to find in most gyms!! Then there is all of the weight machines!!! There is a full selection of very nicely laid out machines for full body workouts!! The free weight area is very impressive also!!! A very nice selection of everything you can possibly want all in very nice and clean and in good condition!!! Very high points again!!!So weather you are a novice or a pro ,the gym will satisfy all of you needs!! Including an exclusive ab training area!! It also has a very unigue area for video guided workouts ( really cool!!) Another very important feature is that the bathrooms and showers are always nice and clean!!! All very high points again!!! If you want to take a tan , they have you covered!!! They hsve a nice selection of lay down and standing units!! They also have a hard to find infrared stand up unit!!!! After or before a nice bronzing session, you can spoil yourself with a hydro lounge or a hydro bed massage unit!!!VERY RELAXING!!! SUPER HIGH POINTS AGAIN!!! The gym even has a very hard to find stretching cage!!!!!(Very cool!!) So when you are tired of the rest , give yourself a break and come to the best!!! Recently went to Planet Fitness in Maryville with my brother and Sister-in-law. We went at an off time in order to avoid the big crowds, was at the Maryville, TN location on Saturday. I had read a lot online, so I was experiencing a few things when I first walked in the door to be honest. I knew that I could begin my membership online, but I also knew they give first-time tours to new members. When we got there, there was 1 person managing the entire gym. There was no tour offered, which was disappointing. The one person working was very friendly but seemed overwhelmed at the same time. I did have questions and really did want the tour as explained on the Planet Fitness website. The girl working as stated previously seemed overwhelmed. I did ask about the Membership Cost, what she explained was not what was stated online. My Sister-in-law asked to speak with her supervisor, but she was not able to connect with them at that time. She made multiple calls but to no avail. I was honestly irritated but kept it too myself and we left.

A few hours later, we came back because it was our intention to work out earlier after getting my membership. We did end up working out and I found out firsthand that there are a lot of options within Planet Fitness that were viable for me. I am handicapped, like with all things in life, I have to figure out how to make things work for me. I like Planet Fitness, and I will return to work out again soon. I may not always go to the Maryville location; there are like +2600 Planet Fitness locations.

When I worked out there initially, the gym was great. I signed up for the $10 membership for my wife and I. We live in two different places throughout the year, 5 months here and 7 months elsewhere. I called in April 2016 to place my membership on hold or close it because we were going to be gone for 7 months. They said they can't do it over the phone and that I couldn't cancel it any other way. So, I was pissed to say the least, but I paid the membership for the entire time we were gone. This winter upon our return, my sister and brother-in-law starting working out again, so I canceled my wife's membership which she never used one time, and converted mine to a Black Membership. I haven't been to the gym since then or since I originally signed up the winter of 2015, so I decided to go ahead and cancel it again this time while I was here and before we headed back out to our business in April. The guy told me I now had a contract, which I never was informed of. And, I'd have to pay an extra $50 to cancel the membership. I was never informed, nor was my sister and brother-in-law informed of any contract, otherwise I obviously would have never converted mine from the $10 membership to the $20 considering I would have been closing it before April 2016 again when we left. But, needless to say, the guy (manager) at the desk was inconsiderate and disrespectful and refused to handle this professionally. So, now, not because of the measly $20/month but because of the principal, I'm letting others know how they've treated me. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general's office along with posting this on Facebook, as well. We run our own successful business as well, and we'd never treat...
