Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Mason City

Me and my coworkers went to have drinks and dinner. It wasn’t a good meal, to say the least. My soup had an eyelash in it. I just left it alone, didn’t say much but I did tell them once my coworker while lifting up her fork from her second plate of mash potatoes ) bc the first that came out with “our” plates was cold) she also had broccoli on her plate which she doesn’t eat but it wasn’t ask what sides she wanted with her Rib Eye so she had to eat her food without the side and the mash was cold. the soup looked like junks was in tomato basil soup and like the milk was curled and then the burger the other coworker had she took a bite and was sick. I’m sorry to say i became sick at the table with stomach issues as well. The young lady serving us wasn’t very present. We had to keep calling and asking her for straws, and items. She didn’t come to refill our drinks another waitress was aware of our complaints and came to refill our drinks. Silverware was all dirty. Had to ask for hot cup of water. The manager came gave one comp card after discounting items that we couldn’t enjoy. It would’ve been reasonable to bring 3 comp cards for 12 like the initial. But they looked at us as a nuisance rather then like customers they value and actually came out to enjoy their restaurant. It’s disappointing. Me and the young lady who had hair in our food have braided styles it was clear the hair wasn’t ours. All in all no one wanted free food when we got there but honestly the whole bill should have been scrapped accept for the drinks. Tonight's curbside service was horrid. No server bothered to even come up to me after waiting 20+mins. I was told to be there at 6:52pm and I didn't get my food till 7:30ish. The 1st time I went in I was told there was no curbside orders and it would be checked on. Almost another 15-20 mins waiting I went back in and I was told after being called 'Sheila' which wasn't me 'oh waiting on fries'. I got the order finally and told the other waiting car to go inside since no server bothered to check on him either. Lo and behold my dad's ribs were cold, burnt and dry and they forgot his sides, except the fries. My chicken was cold and besides the fries my sides were forgotten also, but they did remember my honey mustard which they tend to forget in past orders. Dad and I rarely go to Applebees, but after tonight dad decided he is done and I will have to 2nd that. We will have to use our giftcard in some other city. Clearly, they are poorly managed and many of their servers/chefs don't care about...

EDIT:: Same order different day. When we walked in the door it said that they were "short staffed and have limited seating" there were 3 tables total so we thought, oh it won't be that bad.. . We had the worst service to date (I'm sure it's more fun to giggle in the kitchen but CHECK ON YOUR TABLES especially when they can hear you the Whole Time 🤦🏼‍♀️🤯). They did a shift change bringing in the "Manager" who didn't seem to raise the bar at all and her attitude 👎over all it sucked. Go to B Dubs down the street.
