This is a pretty decent sit down restaurant and bar inside Kings Island. It's located at the start of the Riverton area, after kiddy land, between Diamondback and Mystic Timbers. During Winterfest, it is an all you can eat buffet (not included on dining plan, but is a $5 upcharge if you have the plan).
There are a ton of selections here on the dining plan if you have one. First off, the service will be SUPER slow, no matter when you go (well at least from the time you order until the time you get food) - be prepared to wait 20 mins easily. The bar does serve alcohol here, so feel free to get a local craft beer.
There's a lot of booths and tables to sit at, or sit at the bar. It can be a nice place to relax out of the heat in summer, or warm up in winter. There is a really nice patio outback with firepits, Adirondack chairs, tables and chairs with umbrellas. There is a smoking section on one side of the restaurant but it normally doesn't pose too much of a problem. There's TV's inside and out, so if you want to catch a game while the kids play, you can find one on.
We've only had one bad meal here, the sliders were all the burnt ends of pork, but we were starving so dealt with it. The other times they've been just fine, and you can easily split this meal with the tater tots that come with it. The banh mi sandwich is huge! (Not on dining plan) but worth the money. The burger is decent and decent sized. You get tater tots as a side and a decent portion as well. They also have kids meals here for the little ones. So all in all, decent food, just kind of slow service but a nice dinner...
Read moreTried this place for the first time. Ordering didn't take long but the wait for food was a half hour. Four of us eating. Two go their food within 5 minutes (chicken tenders). They were done and ready to leave by the time the 3rd party got their food (pulled pork). My food took 30 minutes to reach me (Bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich) I had to ask two servers how much longer my food would take. First one never returned with an answer. The last one I stood and waited outside of kitchen for. My food was not even worth the wait. Bread was stale and not even toasted completely. Ended up not eating bread because it was disappointing. There was also a sauce on it that was extremely spicy hot. My husband who likes spicy food even thought it was really hot. Disappointed because we have meal plan and we ordered from the listed we had printed prior to arriving at the park and it didn't list there was a sauce. Who do you even go to for a complaint at a place like this? Wish I had thought of reading reviews before we ate here. It would have made us go elsewhere. Won't be coming back. Too many other good places to eat in the park and not waste...
Read moreWaited in line 20 minutes to place our order, had to wait 32 minutes for our order to come to our table only to be told that they were out of the the food I ordered and would I want something else. I told them no because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for my food. They refunded me for my food and we started eating ( I had ordered an appetizer of chips, so I made that my meal), the cheese dip for the chips was barely warm, the pork on my wife's pulled pork bbq sandwiches was so overcooked that you couldn't chew it up to even swallow it, some of the potatoes in my chips weren't even cooked ( raw potato), tater tots were ok. I was totally disappointed in the experience, especially for the price of dinner for 2 at a nice restaurant. Save your money and...
