If I could give negative stars I would. Placed a carry out order online for pizza. Confirmation email and dominos app said 8-13 min pick up time. Order placed at 612 pm. Arrived at this location at 635. No pizza. No acknowledgment by staff as I stood at the counter and waited. After about 5-7 min a worker shouts (middle aged woman I am assuming was the manager) we have no pizzas ready so if you placed an order it’s not ready (there were 5 other people waiting with me). I stood waiting for another 10 min, while more people are coming in the door all waiting for their pizza. (By this time their waiting area is full, standing room only). I finally call out to the same worker “is my pizza order even started (it’s been 40 + min)” to which she asks for my phone number, checks her computer and says “we didn’t start it yet”. I was not about to wait another 45 min for a pizza order I placed ahead of time to and asked the worker to cancel my order. No apology from said worker. No confirmation that they would credit my credit card that was already charged. Nothing. She just kept on working as if I didn’t exist. Just got a quick “it’s cancelled” response. I understand that business’s get busy. Communication is key. If someone would have acknowledged me and kept me informed of the delay I would have just came back in 30 min.
What should have been done if they were behind in orders was close down the capability to place online orders. So that when patrons call in to place an order they can be informed of the extra LONG wait time. I have ordered before from small local businesses that have done this because they are busy. If a small local food truck can do this you would think a national chain like dominos would have enough common sense to do the same. Horrible horrible customer service. Workers just kept working and ignoring everyone in the waiting room. If the owners of this local dominos see this review, pls train your...
Read moreYes! Dominos is back on the rock! After years, maybe even decades of absence, they've reopened up shop, this time in the Maui Lani Shopping Center.
MENU: Pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, chicken wings, breads, salads, desserts.
ATMOSPHERE: The small shop has a small seating area inside with 4 booths. If you want to dine outdoors there are some outdoor seating near Ululani's.
FOOD: Deluxe Feast Pizza It's been years, no wait, decades, since I last had a slice of Dominos. Yowza, talk about DELISH! Sorry Pizza Hut, I'm going to be coming here from now on! This pie was topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, fresh mushrooms, white onions, cheese, over marinara, on a handmade pan crust. The crust had a nice crispiness to it with a soft center, and the ingredients just tasted so fresh and flavorful. I was reading the pizza box and it stated that the cheese goes all the way to the edge of the crust... It sure did. Amazingly oral orgasmic! Another winner is the price.
Chicken Carbonara Pasta I opted for the regular tin bowl rather than a bread bowl. The penne pasta was cooked just slightly past al dente, and was done in a light cream sauce mixed with cooked white onions, fresh mushrooms, grilled chicken strips, and smoky bacon bits. Pretty damn tasty for a "fast" pizza joint. Small portion size for the price as the bowl wasn't even half filled.
SERVICE: The male delivery guy was friendly. Later in the day when I went in to grab more food, the male cashier was friendly and gave quick service. The reprinting of my online order receipt was easy; he just needed my order number and out it came. They're brand new and still getting used to things but I was very impressed with their composure.
TIP: Pizza customization is high here. You can opt for crust texture, topping amounts, sauces, half of this, whole of that...
OVERALL: Thank you for giving us deprived Mauians a choice in pizza! For a chain,...
