Initially I loved CUT Market. It’s a great place for you if you’re the type of person to get over your clothes quickly, which I definitely do. In the past I was an avid shopper and I visited almost weekly looking for any hidden treasures I could get my hands on and recently I was at their new location shopping around and overheard a woman who came in to trade her clothes. She was sent home with most of her things but was able to trade a few so I thought it was about time I gutted out my closet. I was always reluctant to bring in clothes because I’ve heard complaints (but also good things) about the process of bringing it in. People I know have stopped going to CUT Market simply because of the customer service, but personally I’ve never really had a bad experience so I didn’t care. Before bringing in my items I spoke with a worker (who I believe might’ve been the owner) and she was a bit short with me, kinda made me feel like I was asking too many questions, but I’m just easily confused lol. After bringing in 2 FULL bags of things the transaction was smooth and the workers were kind and helpful. I received a text the next day saying that they went through my things and I had a week to claim them or see my quote. Super excited, I went in today preparing to have exchange my wardrobe lol, but when the worker brought my things out she said they didn’t want any of it. Disappointed because this was my first time and I wasn’t expecting that, I asked if there was anything wrong with the items and she said they weren’t on trend for their store. Honestly, I can’t be too upset with that. Of course they wouldn’t want bags of laundry laying around but a part of me felt like it was kind of rude. A part of the stores success goes out to the public who buy, trade and sell to them, keeping their inventory flowing. I had a few things in my bags that are brand new (over $100) with tags attached and everything else was lightly worn and freshly washed/folded. They aren’t obligated to do anything but now I understand the complaints. It really is a waste of time to have to drop-off your things and have a set time to pick them up just to basically be told they didn’t like them. Based off of what I see on the racks, I’m kinda confused on how my clothes weren’t trendy enough. Anyways, besides one of the workers I didn’t have any problems with anybody. I also hate reviews, in fact I NEVER read them. But this kinda ruined my day. I’ll be going back, but...
Read moreDrove all the way from Kihei to check this place out and was looking forward to it all week and to selling some of my clothing that I would normally sell on postmark but I thought it would be nice to get a lump sum all at once. I’m no stranger to buy sell trade clothing boutiques I’ve frequented them in many different cities where I have lived I know to bring designer items no rips stains or damage I brought a good amount of items 2 suitcases and 2 bags full the girls proceeded to gossip and talk about their personal life more than they even looked at my items barely spoke to me abd offered no hint of customer service as I looked around the store the clothes they were selling were extremely lack-luster very basic just like the staff. I didn’t see anything special or high end the girls were stuck up and rude and for all my trouble they didn’t buy a single thing their only response was “maybe more gently used” ok well I brought several items that still had tags nothing was torn stained or damaged I think they were just so busy talking about their boyfriends they didn’t even look at my items. store won’t last if this is how they treat customers which I can see it is by the previous negative reviewers especially how they respond to the critiques by insulting the customer I mean WOW! That’s crazy grow up girls I know my stuff is good been selling and trading new used and vintage items online regularly fir 3 years now I’ve never had a negative review I know my stuff is top notch please save the apology wrapped in an insult like you did to the other dissatisfied customers . I will continue to sell my items online for way more money save the gas and the attitude . Fly away little pigeons this is Maui and nobody wants to deal with your snotty stuck up attitudes especially when I could just go buy new stuff or buy twice as many of the same items somewhere else for the prices you charge and with friendly service. I won’t be back and I’ll be sure to pass...
