This was the most awful experience that I have ever had at a subway restaurant! I wish I had looked at these ratings prior to stopping at the Mauldin location subway. I came through drive thru and presented my order very detailed as thr young lady Tyjiania took my order at the window instead of the drive through intercom. She wrote my order down. However, she left off a few of my items. I had to honk my horn to get someone's attention. The Manager (Mr. Louis), who originally said his name was Bob Smith, took over at the window and began to question me about the issue. I began explaining that my sandwich was missing a few items and I had askex for extra mayo. He abruptly interrupted me and began raising his voice "well just to step in on her behalf we do not know what extra mayo looks like for you." Point well taken and I could see his point so I stated that I would come inside. He took the steak and cheese sandwich back, "exclaiming what else, what else was missing." I calmly explained that I would come inside to have him redo the sandwich the correct way and that way I could get the extra mayo I originally asked for as well. He expressed to me that I would be getting the same sandwich! After his hands was on my food he refused to fix another sandwich. When I came inside he began to yell at me, " we are not fixing you a different sandwich. I asked who is the manager. He said I am the manager. I asked four times for the area or regional manager that is over him and he refused. He then told me, "You can take this one or I will call the authorities!" I told him I had time to wait. He called and begin begging them to send only "one police just one police." So he called the mauldin police for a situation that he caused and was being irate over. I started out calm and remained calm even after the police arrived. The police talked to each of us. I understand that the police could not do anything to make him redo my order. But geesh! Anyway I guess the " manager" asked that I have a restraining order from coming back. I explained to the officer that its not needed becayse I would not want to come back after the lack of customer service, and rude overall attitude he displayed to me as a paying customer. He was upset that I spent $15.40 for my order. I am sorry that I did as well. But I will be taking action against this restaurant because Subway needs to know the un professional people that have placed in a position of leadership, as being the manager. To top it all off he lied to me and one of the four officers that showed up for this incident, stating his name was Bob Smith when the attending officer corrected it with crossing it out and providing me with his last name...

I always split a footlong turkey with my daughter, in addition to the usual lettuce, tomato, pickle, spinach for the whole sub, I add onions, peppers & black olives to my half. They refused to do so. I found this odd, because I have eaten at Subway's all over the place while traveling (it's our go-to restaurant) and have never had a problem. I was annoyed, and they knew it, but we continued on with our order. On our sub we had 5 pieces of spinach, 5 pickles & the tiniest bit of lettuce you could imagine. I assume they did that on purpose, because they knew I was annoyed.
When I got to the register, I ordered my daughter an apple juice box. They said they would have to get it from the back, so they went ahead and charged my card. When the juice came out it was fruit juice. My daughter has multiple fruit allergies, so I was checking the ingredients, and the lady (apparently owner/manager?) behind the register got really snippy with me and said that was all she had. I told her that my daughter has allergies & I ordered apple juice for a reason. Had they told me they only had fruit juice, I would have ordered her a water bottle. (She is also allergic to corn syrup, so she never gets anything from the fountain).
I'm in a really grumpy mood by this point and decide that we will never come to this particular location again, when my daughter downs the tiny fruit juice box that we were charged $1.20 for. I told her to go ask for a cup so she can get water - remember, she's allergic to corn syrup, so all she is going to get is water. The owner/manager (?) refuses to give her one. My daughter comes back to the table and finishes up her meal. We're cleaning up our tables, because we never leave a mess and the owner/manager walks over to us, follows us out of the building and tells us we're never welcome in her store again. I tell her that's fine with me, I had no intention of ever returning.
As I said, worst experience ever. It's worth the extra two miles to drive to a different location. I wish I had this day. Anyone that questions my need to read the ingredients for my allergic child, that's a huge issue as far as...
Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and if they don't make your food properly, don't expect them to fix it! My husband went through the drive thru to order two sandwiches, one of which was a turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, onions, mayo, oil, and salt & pepper. When he arrived home with the food, the above mentioned sandwich only had turkey, lettuce and mayo. So he took both sandwich and receipt back to the store to request another sandwich, made properly. The woman working had an attitude the moment he walked in, and offered to give him jalapenos and onions to add to the sub. That wasn't even everything that was missing! My husband had already used his gas and time to drive all the way back with the sandwich, so why should he have to add toppings to a sub that THEY made incorrectly?! My husband informed her that he would either like a sandwich that was prepared the way he ordered it, or he would like his money back. The woman took the sandwich and told him he would receive no new sandwich nor his money back because (among other inappropriate comments) "this is not walmart". My husband asked for the contact information of a manager or owner, so that he could make a complaint and request his money back. The woman gave him the cell phone number to the owner. My husband explained the situation to the owner, including that he had no sandwich and that they refused to give his money back. The owner shockingly reinforced what the cashier had told my husband, and said there would be no remake of the sub and no refund given, even excusing his employee's unprofessional behavior by saying she was rude and mistreated him because "she is having a bad day". This location already has dozens of horrible reviews and a rating of 1.9 on google; I wish we had looked into this before ordering! Your customers are the reason you are making money and to treat them with such blatant disrespect is appalling. For this location to have countless negative reviews and complaints, it is no wonder they continue to treat their customers so poorly; nothing is being done!
