I normally don't do reviews, but the service from this location as well as their "corporate" is lackluster at best. I went to this location in December and ordered breakfast for me and a co-worker. I gave the man my phone to scan my rewards and he placed my 2 large drinks in a bag and there was a styrofoam box at the bottom. He handed me the bag, didn't say anything and walked away. I sat there about a minute b/c I was situating the bag in my seat so it wouldn't fall and left. I get to work and I only have drinks and napkins, nothing was in the styrofoam box. I contacted the store and a lady named Shawn answered and said she is looking at my food, and apologized. She said she would write it down in the managers log in the managers office that I wasn't given my food and asked when would I return to get it. I told her it would have to be on a different day b/c I was now at work. So on the day I was going back to Whataburger I called just to see if they could go ahead and start working on the order so it would be there when I got there. This manager that answered was very dry and disingenuous. She said nothing was written down, but it honestly didn't seem as if she was looking and she said no one worked there by the name Shawn. So I explained the situation to her again. She asked for my receipt b/c that was the only way she could replace the meal. I didn't have the receipt anymore and when I looked on my Whataburger app to see if the order # was there I realized the guy didn't even scan my app like he said. She just kept repeating policy to me and when I asked for corporate's number she told me to look it up. Now how are you a manager and don't have corporates number or even showing any kind of assistance to get the number for me. I hung up with her and contacted the phone # for the company located in Tx and I was told I would receive a follow up in 2-3 business days. That did not happen. I followed up again in the beginning of January and was told the same thing. I did not receive a follow up from Whataburger to replace my meal and/or refund my money. I contacted them again last week and spoke with a manager who did nothing but send another message to the higher ups. I still have received no communication after speaking with 5 different people who all have not assisted...
Read moreFinally made it to the new Whataburger location that opened about a month ago, just 2 miles from our house. We’ve been avoiding the crowds, but tonight was our night to give it a try. The wait wasn’t bad—about 20 minutes—but there were a few hiccups along the way.
When we pulled up, we couldn’t get to the speaker because the truck in front of us had us partially blocked. To make things more challenging, an outside HVAC unit was blowing right next to us, making it hard to hear. I tried to explain to the staff that I couldn’t see the menu yet, but the lady kept asking if I was ready to order, not realizing I couldn’t pull up any further. Once I did get to the ordering board, I tried to explain, but she seemed a bit frustrated, saying, 'You’re the only one there.'
I ordered a #1 with cheese and a Dr Pepper shake for my wife, and before I could finish my order, she had already closed it out. I hadn’t even ordered for myself yet! I then ordered a patty melt with an apple pie and gave my name, Chris, only to be told, 'It’s the same person.' Yes, I hadn’t completed my order!
At the window, the staff was friendly, and the food was dispensed with a smile. Although we didn’t order any drinks or fries with the second order, we were still a bit surprised that the two bills totaled $21.78.
But here’s the good part—the Dr Pepper shake was fantastic, the sandwiches were spot on, and the apple pie took me back to the original McDonald’s hot apple pies. Despite the initial confusion, the food quality was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back to try breakfast. 4...
Read moreI’m being very generous with 3 stars. I Don’t understand the hype behind this food. The fries taste exactly like McDonald’s. The burger is very bland, low quality and has nothing special to it. The drive through system with tablets is a horrible system for a new business that I’m sure many people have never tried before. I got the bacon jalapeño burger because it was the only thing that sounded good from the spoken list of items. When I saw the drive through menu, I would’ve ordered completely different and probably more at that. I ate this food right after I received it, the fries were fresh but the burger was lukewarm. Once this burger was cold I didn’t finish it because it was so disgusting. My boyfriend and I had to search for the bacon on these burgers because it looks non existent. It was also completely smothered mustard. There also wasn’t a single condiment in the bag. Trust me you’d be doing yourself a favor to give people ketchup at the very least to mask how horrible this is. The only hype behind this place is that it’s 24 hours. I would still go to cookout for late hours and only if they have a line to the street, I would choose Whataburger. I’ll be back in the very distant future to give this place another shot. With the competition of amazing food in Greenville, this place...
