My family and I will not be back to this establishment.
Drinks were served to us in dirty glasses repeatedly and knowingly by uncaring staff.
We went through 9 rolls of dirty silverware just to be told that their linens are sent out to a company for cleaning, which has nothing to do with the fact that their silverware is covered in filth and dried old food.
Crab cakes were full of shells and cartilage, making them inedible.
The manager never stopped by our table, clearly because they were never made aware of the situation.
Original Post: My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service that we received.
Our waiter was attentive without hovering.
The bang bang shrimp appetizer was tasty. The creamy sauce that coated the crispy fried shrimp was spicy and delicious. We will definitely be ordering it again and highly recommend it to everyone.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed the crushed pineapple martini. She ordered two of them and raved about them all night. The bartenders at Bonefish Grill really know their stuff!
I ordered the grilled pork chop and it was tasty and sizable. I would certainly order it again, perhaps with different sides as when I ordered the asparagus, I only received six small pieces of it which was disappointing. I also feel as though the mashed potatoes could have been creamier.
My wife ordered the cod imperial which she loved, but was a little let down by the size of the piece of fish that she received. It was oddly shaped and maybe a little bigger than the size of a deck of cards. It was topped with a salty, cheesy sauce that had very few barely noticeable shrimp fragments in it. Overall, she said that she would order it again but would also choose different sides seeing as though she ordered the same ones that I did. Ultimately, both of us would have liked to see more asparagus on the plate for the price of the serving on the menu.
For dessert, we ordered the key lime coconut cake to share and it was AMAZING! We couldn’t finish the slice as we were really full, but it was both tart and sweet and definitely worth trying.
When we paid our bill, we were told that our cake was complimentary as my wife had an issue with the silverware earlier in the evening. After about seven rolls of dirty, food covered silverware were unrolled, she was given plastic ware and paper napkins which was fine, but sort of embarrassing and unnecessary.
The manager came over and explained that they send the linens out to be laundered and that is fine, but I feel as though silverware should be able to be washed and brought out instead of giving out a plastic fork and knife. Honestly, the plastic worked alright, but when you are in a restaurant with cloth napkins, the last thing you want to do is to try to cut asparagus with a plastic knife. Also, after being unable to go out to eat as a couple for about two years now, the last thing my wife wanted to do was eat with plastic and use paper napkins. We have kids, so that is the norm at most kid friendly restaurants. We just wanted a night to feel like adults and even though we were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company, that somewhat minor detail sort of tarnished the overall experience in a way.
All in all, we had a really great meal and overall experience at Bonefish Grill. We will definitely be back the next time that we get a moment out together. I just hope that next time we are both able to have clean silverware and clean...
Read moreUpdate. 2 years later. Not much change. The music was the only. And not for the best. Pop like club music in a seafood restaurant??? Took every bit of 5 mins plus before anyone came to our table, even tho there where only 7 people in the entire restaurant. Then all went the same as the past. Bad drinks. Like drinks.. really?? The patch margarita poorly made with my patron just poured on top of my mix, no stir, no shake, no mix. Where do they teach that? Also had no oj. 😢 The bang bang shrimp. Omg. Best thing they have. So if you have to go bc your man needs fish n chips. Get urself bang bang shrimp. Great bc of the sauce!!! Duh. Lol Get extra so u can enjoy the lettuce on the bottom. Sadly tho shrimp was overcooked n rubber like gets stuck in ur teeth. But the sauce makes up for poorly cooked shrimp, even at its high price. The fish n chips were cooked perfectly and came to table hot and fresh. Needs seasoning tho. Salt before cook n salt after the fry would make all the difference. Needs the dips to get any flavor. Never told my server about any problems, she did nothing wrong but when the manager came to check on us as dinner was ending I did let her know, in hopes she can inform n help? future guest, chef, and bar... She said sorry about it n left the table. Came back 5mins later and tried to offer a free 7 dollar dessert to make up for poor 13 dollar drink and overcook shrimp I think costing around 15? Almost like a joke. 7 dollars for 28....I don't want free stuff. I want what you offer, claim, advertise, and charge me for. Your a seafood restaurant overcooking and undercooking food regularly it seems bc I've been twice and twice was poor.
Took my family here for my daughter's birthday. We had a sign to leave as our first item came to the table and got worse from there. The host to sit us was nice but uninformative. Our drinks was the first to come and the sweet tea was lacking tea flavor and was not at all sweet...? I asked for sugar to fix it and was brought a plate with fake sugars and a half cup or simple syrup you would put in a mix drink, like ?? The apps were the best things they have. Bang bang shrimp was great but then back down hill from there. They brought my brother's steak order raw, able to be sent back to the pasture. Blood covering his plate, all over his side items, which included ice cream scooped mash potatoes and an under cooked, wet crab cake. Then the birthday girls meal had very over cooked shrimp, lack of flavoring and sauce in the Alfredo and her asparagus under cooked and bland as well. My husband liked his fish and chips but easy enough, fried like bang bang shrimp. Last was mine. Under cooked crab cakes, wet inside and lacked flavor. We all were so disappointed in this meal and frankly it cost to much to be cooked and seasoned so poorly. This by far was the worst restaurant I took a loved one to for a celebration. And sadly staff and management knew our problems and did nothing but took my brother's already cut into steak off his plate and finish cooking the blood out and brought it back to him dry ,ugly and undesirable. This meal was almost 200 dollars. I feel robbed, left hungry, disappointed, sad, and guilty I brought my baby here on her...

Attn: General Manager Bonefish Grill Greenville, SC
I am writing to formally recognize and commend one of your outstanding team members, Candice, who served us during our visit on Friday, September 5th, 2025, when my wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at your Greenville location.
In my professional career as a senior executive in customer experience for over 25 years, I have developed a discerning eye for what it takes to deliver world-class service. I can confidently say that Candice embodies the very essence of a customer-first mindset and consistently delivers an experience that far exceeds expectations.
What sets Candice apart is not just her attentiveness, but her ability to create an emotional connection with her guests. She knows our preferences, anticipates our needs, and executes with the type of effortless empathy that transforms a dining transaction into a meaningful relationship. On this particular evening, she surprised us with a handwritten card to celebrate our anniversary—a thoughtful and personal touch that exemplifies the “moments that matter” in customer experience.
To be candid, my wife and I do not frequent Bonefish Grill primarily for the food or the atmosphere—although both are very good. We come because Candice makes every visit memorable. She is, quite frankly, the differentiator. Her skills, professionalism, and genuine care elevate the guest experience to a level that many organizations strive for but few consistently achieve.
I also learned that she has been with Bonefish Grill for ten years. In today’s competitive environment, that kind of loyalty and dedication is rare and invaluable. She is not only an ambassador for your brand but a critical driver of guest loyalty and advocacy. I am a promoter of Bonefish Grill because of Candice, and I know I am not alone in that.
Given the profound impact she has on your guests, I respectfully request that she be recognized in a way that goes beyond your normal cadence for positive reviews. She deserves something special that demonstrates appreciation not only from me but also from your leadership team. Recognizing Candice in a meaningful way would reinforce the culture of excellence that Bonefish Grill stands for, while also rewarding the very behaviors that drive guest satisfaction, retention, and advocacy.
Candice is a true asset to your Greenville location and to the Bonefish Grill brand as a whole. Please extend my gratitude to her and ensure that she knows just how much she is valued by her guests and, I trust, by your leadership team as...
