I arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing time and all the lights outside were off and the drive-thru menu board lights were off. But as I rounded the corner there was another car stopped at the drive-thru speaker. We both sat there for a while before I finally heard the driver placing an order. During this time two other cars joined the drive-thru line behind me. I overheard the young lady taking the order tell the car in front of me that they would be the last order for the evening. I looked at my clock and it was 7 minutes until 10:00. When I pulled up to the speaker I was advised that they wouldn't be taking any more orders. By this time I'd already been sitting in line for at least 8 minutes. That wouldn't normally be a huge deal except by this time it's now too late to go to most of the restaurants in maumelle since there are only a couple open after 10:00. I was told they stopped taking orders at 9:55 and when I questioned that (because it still wasn't even 9:55) I was asked what it was I was going to order. I told them just a single and was at that point given a total and ask told to pull up to the window. My point is if you're going to post on your website and to Google that you are open until 10:00, then stay open until 10:00, which includes taking orders. If you don't wish to stay open until 10:00, which is all fine and good, then simply post an earlier close time. When I did get to the window the young lady working it seem to be very put out by the situation because they were now having to cook another burger. There's no telling what they probably did to that burger but that was the best damn Wendy's burger I've had in years because it was fresh, lol!🍔🍔🍔 Sad to say that just doesn't happen anymore. The Maumelle location is probably the worst around for serving dried out burgers that have been sitting under a heat lamp for entirely too long. I continue to go only because it's convenient most of the time. For years now I've considered picking up a burger at another Wendy's location and bringing it by to show them what it's supposed...
Read moreThis was the worst service we've ever received. We arrived at the Drive-Thru at 10:30 pm. It took 20 minutes to get to the pick up window with only 3 cars in front of us. From there a rude associate took the money, gave us a bag, and said "go wait over there." No greeting, no smile, no explanation, no apology for the delay or even telling us what we were waiting for. By the way they did not have gloves, or a mask on either while handling our food which is currently required. Fast forward THIRTY minutes, we are still waiting in that spot. The restaurant at this point is now officially closed and has been for over 15 minutes. There are 3 or 4 cars also waiting behind us, post pick up window but without their food. No one has come out, no one has explained, we're still just waiting. Doors are locked since they're closed so we couldn't go inside to ask. By the time it hit 11:25 and we're still waiting we just gave up and went home minus one bag of food. Maybe a machine was down, maybe the cash register, maybe a lot of thing. You know what helps in that situation? Communication. Tell us something is going on. Explain the problem, apologize for the delay, talk to us in any fashion.
