How It HappenedHow It Happened
Very nice place to bring your family for some good vides and friendly folks. Good service and good suggestions on burgers. I ordered their most expensive and delicious burger, it comes with a 28 day aged Pat Lafrieda patty which is packed with flavor and juiciness, it also comes with the most amazing caramelized onions and bread that you can tell, it's home made!! On the side I ordered their second popular burger which is a deep fried burger. To be honest I was a bit skeptical for this one, do for the possibility of it not being cooked all the way through. They did a good job in accomplishing that, fried burger was cooked all the way, almost piping hot. The inside consist of cheese, onions, pickles and ofcourse the patty. Sadly maybe I got bad luck but my fried burger had no flavor and was full of oil inside, maybe they forgot to season it inside before frying it. I tried adding some of their sauces that they provide to your table, but sadly this burger had no saving. I did let the staff know that the burger was just not great, and they were actually very happy to allow me to try something else instead and issued me a refund for the burger. I was very surprised I've never had such a good service before at a fastfood burger place. I ordered their smash burger on the house. I felt so guilty when I was eating it, and sadly the smash burger was just too salty that I was not able to eat it. I felt so bad for their troubles and I didn't want the burgers to go to waste. I went to our town's duck park and fed the ducks with the leftovers. Hopefully some raccoons show up as well! Overall if you come to Cubby Racoon, definitely get the steakhouse burger. Super delicious and the fries are super crispy, yet soft on the inside. I will definitely come back for their steakhouse burger!!! P.S. You did not get duck approved!

First off I went to Chubby Raccoon soley based on the name itself. With a name like that I had to try it.So in I went but because it was my first time I didn't know the menu and as I was reviewing it the hostess quickly recommended the smash burger and told me "it's really good" so I chose the smash burger.I also added fries and a drink because they are sold separately.I ordered my meal to go so when it was time to get my meal I was handed a brown paper bag that was stapled shut.Yes they literally stapled the brown paper bag shut.Differant,I'll give them that.so when I got my burger out, well let's just say it was not the most pleasant looking burger at all.I expected the burger to be a bit on the bigger side but oh well.I guess I know why they call it a "smash burger" Because it seems as if someone smashed it with something heavy. The lettuce wasnt fresh and was on the soggy side. The tomatoes were alright. The bun was also just alright. But as far as taste goes, that is good.even with the faulty lettuce and wafer thin presence it tasted good. The fries tasted good as well.both burger and fries were seasoned really well. Also my patty was undercooked but I still ate it and it still tasted good.they have many other options like loaded fries and some cheese sauce that you can dip your burger in,but unfortunately I wasnt even recommended any of that but I saw the pictures on the menu.overall paying $9.00 for a wafer thin burger with shoddy leftover lettuce and one tomato slice is not worth it the fries and drink bring it up to $15.00.There are MANY more restaurants that will give you a standout burger and fries with a drink for that price. (Ranch House Bryan Rd Mission). So based on this experience I won't be going back.

This was our first time visiting this relatively new burger spot. Overall, it was a good experience. We came by for lunch on a weekday. Were were immediately treated by a server. I initially thought we placed our dine-in order at the counter. I was surprised that they have table service. The interior has a fresh, uplifting appeal. There is also plenty of outdoor seating. We chose a table that has jumbo Jenga where we later partook in a quick game while waiting on our order. When the server took our order, he asked whether it was our first time and proceeded to explain the options and most liked choices. We opted for the Texan smash burger and the Mapache (seasonal) burger. After bringing the drinks, I tasted my Sprite and it had little to no syrup. The server was apologetic, resolved the issue with the fountain and brought a replacement that tasted much better. When our food came out, it was piping hot fresh and well-presented for a fast food-ish plate. The fries were cooked just right but a tad on the salty side (and I like my fried salty). I should have chosen my first bite more intentionally. The first few bites were mostly patties and bun, which was a bit on the bland side. However, when I got a bite of the toppings, it was full of flavor and a bit of bite. I devoured the rest. It was a sizeable burger. Both the Mapache (which I had) and the Texan that my son had were a hit. On more than one occasion, our server stopped by to check how we liked the food. The one small detail I found a little disconcerting is that the drink fountain is DIRECTLY outside the men's bathroom door. You can practically reach it from the doorway, which seems unsanitary.

During my visit at the Chubby Racoon, I had the pleasure of being served by a wonderful waitress named Siomara. From the moment we approached her, her warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. Siomara had an infectious smile that brightened up the room. She took the time to greet me with genuine enthusiasm and made me feel like a valued customer. Her positive energy was contagious, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Throughout my dining experience, Siomara was attentive and knowledgeable. She patiently answered all of my questions about the menu and offered helpful suggestions based on her personal favorites. Her genuine passion for the food and the restaurant was evident in the way she described each meal. Not only was Siomara friendly and engaging, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my meal was enjoyable. She checked in regularly to make sure I had everything I needed and suggested help without us having to ask. Her attention to detail and proactive approach to customer service made a lasting impression on me. Siomara's exceptional service truly enhanced my overall dining experience at the burger joint. Her genuine friendliness and attentiveness made me feel like a valued guest, and I left the restaurant with a smile on my face. I would like to commend Siomara for her outstanding customer service and thank her for making my visit so memorable. Let me tell you about the mouthwatering Nashville chicken sandwich I had the pleasure of trying at Chubby Racoon. This sandwich was truly a flavor explosion that left me craving for more. The Nashville chicken sandwich consisted of a perfectly fried and crispy chicken breast, generously coated in a spicy and tangy Nashville hot sauce. The heat of the sauce was just right, providing a nice kick without overpowering the other flavors. It had a unique blend of spices that gave it an irresistible smoky and slightly sweet flavor profile. To complement the heat of the chicken, the sandwich was served on a soft and toasted brioche bun. The bun was buttery and slightly sweet, providing a perfect balance to the spiciness of the chicken. It was also accompanied by crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, and tangy pickles, adding freshness and texture to each bite. Overall, the Nashville chicken sandwich was a culinary delight. The combination of the perfectly fried chicken, the spicy and flavorful Nashville hot sauce, and the refreshing slaw created a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. It was a true treat for the taste buds and left me craving for more. If you're a fan of spicy and flavorful sandwiches, I highly recommend giving the Nashville chicken sandwich a try. As for the Chuburitto, this is a mouthwatering combination of beef, fries, tomatoes, jalapeños, queso sauce, white onions, and French fries. It's a fusion of Mexican and American flavors, with tender beef, crispy fries, juicy tomatoes, spicy jalapeños, creamy queso sauce, and crunchy white onions all wrapped up in a tortilla. It's a delicious and satisfying meal that brings together the best of both worlds. Now my favorite part was the chocolate shake. Indulge in the heavenly delight of a chocolate shake with whipped cream that is simply irresistible. This creamy concoction is a symphony of rich chocolate flavor and velvety smoothness. The chocolate shake is blended to perfection, resulting in a luscious and creamy texture that is sure to satisfy any chocolate lover's cravings. The addition of a generous dollop of fluffy whipped cream on top adds an extra layer of indulgence, making it even more heavenly. With each sip, you'll experience the perfect balance of sweetness and chocolate intensity, creating a truly delightful taste sensation. The combination of the smooth and creamy chocolate shake with the light and airy whipped cream creates a harmonious contrast that tantalizes your palate. This chocolate shake with whipped cream is the ultimate indulgence that will leave you...

Ok, so first of. I went here with my family at around 2:30 PM: with my younger brother and my grandparents. I've ordered the Texan Smashburger with fries, my brother an American Cheeseburger with a chocolate shake, and my grandparents ordered a Fancy Cheeseburger with Onion Rings.

The food (which I wanna talk about first) is solid, but not like "Oh! This is the best burger I've ever had!"

My burger was really good, but my only complain is that the burger seemed overcooked, it had overcooked pieces coming out of it and I had to tear those small pieces off. The bacon was dry and not juicy. Only saving grace it had was its onion rings and BBQ sauce. The fries were fine and I liked the idea that you could use iodized salt packages to give flavor to them (I think of it bcs of medical reasons as there could be people that have certain conditions that limit their sodium intake). My brother states that his Cheeseburger was only good because the cheese gave flavor to it. Whilst he states that the shake was delicious and he recommends it, although my only advice is to expect it to be costly. My grandparents consider their burger (because they shared it) to be great and tasty. However, my grandpa states that it was, as well, overcooked. However, they state their Onion rings were juicy and flavorful, that it was their most solid pick for lunch.

As for Customer Service, I liked how our waitress attended us. She was very friendly, welcoming, open and direct. She was such a great worker and I believe she deserves a raise!

Environment. I loved the restaurant's aesthetic, decorations, overall design, color choice, etc. I love how their main mascot is a chubby racoon, so freaking cute lmao This restaurant is so family friendly, very welcoming, and a great place for family and...
