Walked in no greeting or eye contact from anyone whatsoever cool not surprised. By easy observation I was able to guess right who the manager was, I just had to look and see what employee looked the most defeated. Darianna* hope I spelled that right. Confirmed with another employee at the end of my visit that she was the manager on duty they agreed, I was right of course. Employee who took our order mediocre little to no customer service skills glad she’s the first person customers encounter. I asked for two drinks she replied with we only have these okay then there’s no lids to these large cups.. Okay lol that would have been nice but seems like everyone here lacks communication skills. Whole experience and food mediocre to put it kindly. OH and our food was left there and I got up and brought it to our table myself since everyone just wanted to pass by it. Iv been coming here since I was a kid Iv worked in the restaurant industry all my life I know how it is trust me, this is the 2nd time we’re not impressed whatsoever by anything here. Well except the young man who gave me my to go box he was very nice. It’s a sandwich place common guys. Do better its not hard. This location looks dated but I don’t mind if the service is good, service is lackluster brings the whole place down. We will make the drive to Pharr Jason’s deli where the employees look like they’re...
Read moreI had not been to Jason's Deli in some time, and it was way before I started doing reviews. Anyway, I took the family to eat at the one located on North Second Street and just a half block north of Nolana. Jason's menu offers a good selection of sandwiches, soups, and pastas. There is a salad bar option available with plenty of combinations available that you can create. Behind the salad bar is the drink dispensers with good choices here as well. Also, there is an ice cream machine and cones located at the end of the line that are complementary. So today, I ordered the muffalitta and a cup of gumbo. My son ordered the Club Royal and a brownie for his ice cream. My wife ordered the Turkey croissant and a cup of lobster bisque. You order and pay, and then they bring your food to you, and our food arrived pretty fast. I was disappointed in my sandwich because it had hardly any olive tapinade that I really enjoyed the last time I went. My son really liked his sandwich of Turkey, Ham, Bacon, lettuce, and tomato. My wife loved hers but didn't like the bisque. She said it was the flavor, I tasted it, all I tasted was the base that used. Jason's is a go-to spot for a quick hunger fix. There is plenty to choose from and not feel guilty, plus there is free ice cream to finish...
Read moreVERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I had ordered a pastrami sandwich-toasted with only mustard and pickles; of course 2 more items. When I receive the food I check the sandwiches to make sure they are as I requested.. and as I figured it was super cold!!! The girl then asked me if I wanted it toasted .. well it’s on the ticket !!.So they give it to the guy, he proceeds to remove the pickles and tried to reheat it whole with the the meat and mustard still on the bread.. I asked them “ are you going to reheat it with the mustard on the sandwich!!” They responded with” you want it toasted “ I then said “ yes but you will need to remake it because reheating it with mustard on the bread will make it soggy” I then had to wait 10mins for them to remake it… once I get it I check it again.. this time they just threw the pickles in the container.. they didn’t even try to make it like appealing. I spent $45 in you establishment $14 of those on this sandwich in which alone!! I should have gotten what I paid for and not a half a** made sandwich! This is not the first time this has happened, it has happened 2x before this and I was trying to give you all the benefit of the doubt, NEVER AGAIN!!! Your quality of service and food has definitely...
