This place is awesome!!!! If you are looking for delicious food I highly recommend this place. This review is based on my experiance at the restaurant and because I was really impressed I have gone back multiple times. The establishment is clean, the tables are stocked with sauces, eating utensils, straws, etc.which are also clean and not sticky, poked at, or what not.
I have tried multiple items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The serving sizes for the pho are huge and very filling which is why I usually get a number 8. The pho is flavorful, non greasy, filled with portions of meat and noodles that are sufficient and filling to me. The pho is like a warm hug and very soothing it doesnt leave me with a greasy after taste, heartburn, or regret. I love it!!
The beansprouts, basil, and cilantro brought to include in the pho are fresh and crisp and enhance the dish very well.
You get refills on water but not on sweet/unsweet teas. You can also expect canned sodas and not fountain sodas which you will be provided a cup (medium) and ice to pour your drink. So either order multiple drinks or drink your drink slowly if you wish to have something during your meal.
When you pay there is a small service fee I believe for using cards which it seems most businesses are doing these days. All in all very positive and...
Read moreI ate here with a friend today. We were so excited to eat at Houston since we called Pho Lei Lai and their dining room was closed. Honestly, I love Pho Lei Lai! Long story short, I was so disappointed with Houston. I ordered chicken Pad Thai, and it was terrible. It was more like soggy lo mein. The chicken tasted dry and old; it was just disgusting. I ate three bites and I was done. I tried to drown a portion of it in hot oil and lime juice, but that did not help. I took it home to see what my husband thought of it. It ended up in the trash. I think my friend ordered egg rolls and he liked those, but did not care for his chicken/shrimp pad thai. I am not sure if the soups are good, but my experience was not good. Everything is served in styrofoam too. I get that COVID changed alot of things, but I really did not enjoy my food. Even my diet coke was like old or something; it tasted like carbonated water. I did enjoy my fortune cookie...the service was alright. The environment...
Read moreI just want to give a very very big THANK YOU to the lovely Vietnamese ladies who run that it and cook there...I'm Vietnamese and have moved to the valley for just over a year now and no other Pho restaurant down here compairs to the authentic flavors that I consider "home" than this place does. All the other places make it "American" they do not and they have earned my loyalty and business as the only place I will go for when looking for comfort food. It was so delicious! My son always says that I never like the Vietnamese food here because I know what real authentic is, grew up and still cook it at home regularly....Pho Houston is the best I've ever had...
