Extreme Pizza — Restaurant in McAllen

The review is based off my first visit. Place was nice and clean. Seemed very spacious with tables in-between for adequate spacing to meet health guidelines. We ordered the Snow Bird special which consists of two fountain drinks, one 12n pizza 1 topping pizza and two salads. This is a fantastic deal at $15.99 and the pizza was delicious. Plenty of cheese, not too much tomato sauce, not greasy at all and bread was great. I'd like to add that the house salads were pretty good too. We also got a Endless Summer calzone that consisted of mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, ricotta, carmalized onions, and artichokes and garlic. The dipping sauce wasn't included when the calzone was brought out, but it was provided upon request. The overall experience was great!! I went back for a second try because every place deserves a second chance. First off Arron scores high in customer service, he took real good care of us while we dined, all while working the register, the phones , and the people in line. I wanted to try the wings this time. They were baked not fried, so they were not greasy, the blue cheese with the big chunks of cheese in it made a huge impact on me cause it really adds to the overall flavor when dipping wings and celery sticks. The crust was my complaint last review, bit this time it was crispy on the bottom and gave a nice texture to the pie. I love the cheese they use here and the sauce with notes of garlic was definitely on point. They have a craft beer special on certain days, it was my lucky day, Craft beer for $ 2.50 a pint WOW!! I ordered the Yard sale. The pizza was good. There was a good chew to the crust and it really complimented the fresh veggies. There was little sauce but here come the veggies to to add complexity and flavor. The meats placed were not over powering like a pepperoni with veggies, no, all the toppings really complimented each other. I was dissapointed the the cheese wasn't stringy, but that's okay you can't have everything you want. The ambiance was average day to day and clean. The restroom was clean, but the toilet seats were loose. The staff could have worked on their greetings and salutations, I felt as if i was dealing with self checkout.
