November 3rd 2023 Wow, it's been a year already since I reviewed this amazing restaurant! Time goes fast!. I can honestly say that this restaurant has the best Korean food in the Valley. I believe that we have been in every restaurant that offers korean food around, and somehow we just keep coming back. BaB Korean Restaurant has it all, the atmosphere, the delicious food, the welcoming feeling when you enter are just a few qualities that they have. BaB Korean Restaurant has become number one for us. When we eat here, we order what we already like and also something that we haven't tried before. My usual is the Stone Pot Bibimbap and my new favorite that I like to pair it with is the Soybean Paste Stew. I can say those two are my go to comfort food. Also their hot Korean green tea has a calming feeling the taste is a little different than your regular green tea, it is better!. This one seems to have a hint of a nutty taste for me, which gives it a nice relaxing/calming flavor. Their complementary Plum juice at the end of your meal is a delightful touch! Of course my family have their favorites too, however that would take long to describe since we all have many favorites đ. Like always the place is clean, what I love the most is that you can see them cooking in their kitchen. Also you can have a 100% assurance that their ingredients are fresh and their cooking is in a clean environment. What I would like to see in the future is some type of a different, traditional simple dessert added into their menu. We always leave this restaurant with a full happy belly (sometimes way too full) it is just very delicious. Like always; Happy Eating! đ Now, all we need is a Korean Bath house! đ¤ Houston and Dallas bath houses are too far đ
P.S. Today a young lady with hair braids took great care of us. She was very pleasant, polite, had a great attitude and a wonderful smile. To the young lady: You are awesome! and Thank you! đ
A year ago review... If I could give more than five stars, I would. The food is amazing!! Very delicious đ We tried many different dishes, and all of them were great! Authentic Korean food! We were immediately welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant. My kids and I left with a very happy tummy; next time, we will bring my husband since he was out of town on this occasion. In case you are worried about covid like we are, this place was really clean, including the restroom. Lastly, a warning about the food, the plates are huge! It's worth the...
Read moreFirst time going to BaB k foods, the astetics are pretty nice, kinda cold would recommend a jacket. When first walked into the restaurant I should have realized it was going to be a poor experience some customers were arguing with the hostess over some sort of payment issue. I spoke to the hostess as it was my first time at that restaurant unsure if it was like the nak won jung where we get are own drinks and so forth, she seemed polite but was prone to mistakes. After we ordered she brought the wrong plate to us bare in mind it was just me my girlfriend and one other couple at the restaurant. We finally got the correct order after around 15 minutes sitting in the cold, I ordered the spicy pork belly and my girlfriend got the tteokbokki with Ramen and an egg, and some dumplings, usually Ramen is served in a bowl to help not get the juices to spills from the container and also to avoid the leaking noodles to get on clothes, which since it was on a plate is exactly what happened to my girlfriends shirt. The spicy porkbelly, was not really spicy, the dumplings were okay but nothing to write home about once we finished eating I went over to pay and was gently offering some feedback for the the Ramen issue, which the hostesses then remarked that tteokbokki is traditionally served on a plate but she forget to give some sort of Bib that would have avoided my gf clothes getting soiled. Either way payed the bill that was over 50 bucks for 3 items I was kinda surprise usually when me and my girlfriend eat Korean we usually head to the nak won jung, we tried this place as a spur of the moment adventure that ultimately ended up as just an overpriced and unsatisfied experience. At the nak won jung you can get delicious spicy pork belly, tteokbokki, and even a kimbop, for below 40 bucks greater taste and even...
Read morethe service here is good and the waitresses was very nice but the food was the problem. the plates are good but this time it wasnât the best. the ttukbokki was way too spicy for it to be mild and even after i asked them nicely for the plate to be remade they basically gave it the same, not only that but there was a hair in it. non of the cooks are wearing hair nets so itâs more likely to get a hair in the plates. i then ordered something different but while ordering it the cook and owner seemed like they didnât want to make my order. i was finally able to sit down and eat my food. when i finished i asked for the bill and while looking through it i noticed they still wanted me to pay for the plate that a hair in it which i personally donât think is the right thing to do. i asked the waitress if she could figure out why they still want me to pay for it and she was very nice about it, sweet person. i tipped the waitress and jokingly said âtheyâll still give you the tip rightâ and she was hesitant to answer as if they werenât giving her those tips. the people working there, especially the waitress, were very sweet it was just the food and the service that wasnât the best. i did end up enjoying my plate but it was too much of a hassle to finally...
