Kreative Grounds Café — Restaurant in McAllen

I think I just found my new favorite coffee spot. I decided to check it out based on the reviews and now know why they are so highly rated. It became evident to me that many of the other customers there at the time were regulars.

I loved the quaint, quiet and cozy feel of the place. As a cat person, I loved being welcomed by a few friendly cats cozied up on the porch by the entrance.

I was immediately greeted as I approached the counter. Even though I arrived an hour before closing, I was still able to order a sandwich. I opted for the chicken salad croissant along with the Honey Cinnamon Shaken Espresso.

For seating, there are indoor tables and booths (I will say the tables in the booths are a tad high and I am a regular height guy). There is also a fenced-in outdoor seating area. I opted for a booth where I could take advantage of the quiet and read on my Kindle.

My coffee was ready within minutes. I was delighted from the first sip. It was like divine for my taste buds!

Soon after, my sandwich came out. The croissant was sizeable, fresh and quality. The sandwich was tasty and fulfilling.

The restaurant was clean and had great art decor featuring local artists. The staff was friendly and made sure I enjoyed my order.

This place is incredible! I came here because I heard they had cats, and guess what? They had KITTENS! Not only that, but the food and drinks were delicious.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I asked for recommendations, and they were great. I ended up getting the Cezanne Chicken salad Croissant with the Vangogh’s latte. They were both amazing. The sandwich was a good size and freshly made. I couldn’t stop eating it!

Afterwards, I went outside to their little outdoor area and discovered the kittens. They were all so cute and just living their kitten lives. The staff takes great care of the cats while I’m outside. They were out to check on the mama and came back later to bring them water.

When I went back inside, I decided to get some dessert and another drink since I was having such a great time. I sat down, read a book, and looked around the cafe. I really liked the atmosphere and all the art around. I also got to pet another cat that was inside. Overall, it was a fantastic place! I’ll definitely come back to try out more menu items and to visit...

i can be really picky at times, but i cherish the feeling that comes with getting exactly what i want, and i find that here at Kreative! the staff is lovely and kind. they go out of their way to feed the kitties that have made a home out of the front of the café, and that makes me so happy to see. the food is delicious, not too big or small portions. i love taking their pasta salad home to mix with tuna hehe. i recommend their lunch combos. what café is going to offer that? i enjoyed a chicken salad croissant with pasta salad and their strawberry (green?) tea as well as a breakfast croissant. i’ve also tried their coffee latte with rose syrup and oat milk (my new fav), matcha latte & butterfly pea flower tea. i’d honestly try anything they whip up in that little kitchen. i love going to hang with friends, read & write. i hope they stay in business forever, truly. such a...
