Mi Tierra Vegana — Restaurant in McAllen

I don't even know where to start! Everything about this place is wonderful and you definitely don't have to be a Vegan or Vegetarian to thoroughly enjoy their tasty food! The owners are extremely kind and welcoming. The food is all made in house with only the freshest and best quality ingredients and you can really taste the difference in every bite. Whether you get their daily special or one of their items off of the menu you are in for a real flavor experience. Their culinary experience shows in everything that they do. If you love cheesecake or tiramisu, but no longer are able to enjoy it, because you are eating plant based look no further. In my opinion theirs is even better than the dairy ladened version. Don't forget to buy a package or two of their wonderful tamales located in their refrigerated case on your way out. They make an easy and tasty...

So incredibly thankful for Mi Tierra Vegana! Our 3 and 4 year old boys are vegan along with both my fiancé and I and we all LOVE the vegan cheese cake from here. So much so that we decided to call and order a full sized version of the cheese cake for our 3 year old baby boy’s birthday today. The entire family loved it (including our non-vegan parents and siblings) and it was gone no later than 5 minutes after we opened and cut it. I also came in about 2 weeks ago during my lunch break feeling hungry, but terribly bloated. Thanks to the knowledge of the owners and staff of this location I was provided the most delicious tea I have EVER had that diminished my bloating and discomfort at least a quarter into the drink. If you can’t go into your favorite local restaurant knowing you’ll be coming out satisfied and taken care of, come to Mi Tierra...

Super disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant… The food was way overpriced for what you get, and the quality wasn't impressive. They also didn't have many gluten-free or soy-free options, which was a bummer. My wife has gluten intolerance, so I made sure to tell the employee when we ordered. But when I tried her chorizo tacos, they tasted just like my ground beef tacos - not good! It seemed like there was cross-contamination somewhere along the line. Later that night, my wife got a stomachache, which I'm pretty sure was from the food. Really frustrating, especially since I was looking forward to trying this place out. Hopefully, they'll step up their game and take food allergies...
