Please train your managers to handle uncomfortable situations. Tonight we tried to enjoy a nice meal however the table next to us had three children, an infant and parents that did not care what they did. also making it a very hazardous and very liable environment . The children were running all around the restaurant. Wrestling on the floor by the restrooms, running and sliding, playing chase, shooting each other with water guns…. basically being kids. I get it. This just was not the right place for that. And unfortunately it ruined my experience.
The parents made small attempts to control them but not enough to where I didn’t even feel safe going to the restroom and falling on one of them. I had so much anxiety that these kids were going to get hurt or hurt someone else. The young 3 year old ran out of the front door past two hostesses. I had to tell the mom her daughter went outside because your employees said they could not tell her anything. Talk about a liability for your company. It was a business owners nightmare.
When I talked to Jennifer she advised that she couldn’t say anything to them. She wasn’t allowed. So my question is why? Why do you cater to wild behavior over that of calm, relaxed, just here enjoying dinner. . You can refuse service to anyone.
Also, I have never left a restaurant with such a small check. We would have spent double that if the environment would have been more safe to do so. Catering to the parents causing havoc in your restaurant and to all the other patrons who were just trying to have a nice meal.
Jennifer did finally talk to them as they were leaving but they did t care. The attempt to cancel our bill, although was honorable, I was not looking for a free meal and I wanted to tip the server.
What I witnessed was a business owners nightmare. Not one employee stepped in and two employees watched a three year old child walk out the front door.
So please take this as a wake up call to do something about it, or double...
Read moreThis place appeared to have great potential based on the long wait and the high occupancy of customers. We visited twice at different times and days. This last visit confirms my opinion of Costa Messa. The food is average and does have some good hints of excellence but that is about the height of the positive points of our experiences. It seems the wait staff needs training on serving 2 people when compared to table of 6 or more. We sat down and he took our drinks orders ,waters, and delivered in 5 minutes. 12 minutes later Juan M took the table of 8 next to us order and brought their drinks. We still waited for our order to be taken. 5 minutes later waiter Juan came and took our order. Food was delivered quickly ,faster than the order was taken. Ordered Caldo de Res and seafood combo. Soup flavors were good but cold and fish had very little flavor, Long John came to mind. Tried to waive waiter down when he constantly visited the table next to ours. No salt, pepper, ketchup was not available. Tarter and shrimp sauce was extremely sweet. Chips and salsas were good but never recieved a refill of them . Seems that this is like the other visit except did have the beef fajitas and were very well seasoned and tender. If your hungry and just want to eat something this is your place. But if you want greater quality I suggest keep driving a few...
Read moreI'm sure the food is great just don't order via Uber Eats in Edinburg, TX. I placed an order for my family today for my Dad's birthday and they recommended Uber Eats and Doordash as their delivery options. The handoff to Uber Eats didn't go well as my family didn't receive all but one piece of their order. I paid for the order via Uber Eats and stupidly left a tip to give to the driver. I also left a note to separate sides which also doesn't get fed into the restaurants system. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not have any liability in regards to this so if this does happen via Uber Eats you will have to call, place and pay for another order while you try to get a refund via Uber Eats. My family ended up getting a late meal for my Dad's birthday after getting home from trucking (this was supposed to relieve the burdern), I also paid for a meal twice with no guarantee I will get a refund for the meal I did not receive. 4 stars cause I'm sure the food would have been good. 4 stars for not being able to have any control over Uber Eats or confirming order with driver before leaving the restaurant, use DoorDash if ordering from home or getting delivery. Or do what I had to do, have someone go and pick it up anyway and I'm out $67...
