Piporro Taqueria Jalisco — Restaurant in McAllen

Since I was in the area I decided to stop by and try the place out. The best thing about this place were the beans. They were really good. Other than that there wasn’t anything special that would make me want to go back. It wasn’t a busy day. Only two tables were occupied and there were two guys at the register. They spent a fair amount of time talking before giving us our menus. Once we ordered the drinks we waited about 15 minutes to get our food. The waiter forgot the drinks so we reminded him. He also forgot the lemons and the straws. The lemonade was very simple in taste. Our experience wasn’t great, but it wasn’t horrible. I just think they need to improve on their customer service a bit. And as far as the food, it’s not anything I would want to...

Happened to be with family, and we wanted to get some lunch. We happened spot El Piporro, and my daughter informed me that it was a taqueria. I chose to give Piporro's a try . I was very surprised with the menu ! So many choices of authentic Mexican food made it difficult to choose, so I asked the waitress to recommend something ? The young lady was very cordial and obliged all us with recommendations. I had the Taquitos de Bistek, and the meal was impressive and delicious as well. All the meals ordered were well served and looked delicious! Prices were reasonable, and the young waitress was so friendly and hard working. It was a pleasure going into El Piporro to have a delicious meal for lunch ! Gotta go back and order...

I would not come to this place again. I originally gave it a chance because of the reviews. However, I had the worst service! To say, I have NEVER had my drinks handed to me when my food was out. Usually people bring u at least a cup of water before your food is out. The papa was a bit cold and cheese on top wasn’t even melted. The tacos were very plain. My husband and I were very disappointed. I think this place may work out if your drunk and hungry but this place does not have good service or food...sorry. Lady Took a long time to place my order...to get my food...and especially waited too...
