I went there was a good friend a few days ago. We live in opposite areas and found Vickie's to be in the middle so we decided to try it. I ordered one of the special burgers-Mauna Loa and my friend ordered an appetizer for lunch. The burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was cooked to perfection, and all the topping made it absolutely delicious. It comes with fries, but the picture on the menu showed half fries and half onion strings so I asked the server about it and she said I could have half and half which I did and both were very good and plentiful. My friend had an appetizer and said it was great. Alyssa, the server was tremendous in every way-friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, prompt, patient, quick and a lot of fun to talk with which made the meal into a 5 star experience. We sat outside and it was a great to be right on the Fox River on such a nice afternoon. The menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back to try...
Read moreWell was there a week ago got seated and waited over 30 min and never had a waitress come to the table and we left and on our way out we talked to the manager, Bernie, he said for me to come back and ask for him I said ok.. Well today we went back and again as we sat for over 25 min and then a waitress took our drink order I also asked for the manager like he said to and they said he would be right out well that never happened he never came out. As far as everything else not happy wasnt very busy in my opinion and waited long periods for everything also we asked for forks and knives and a few min later was given plasticware because they were out of silverware... seriously that is crazy. All we heard was how slammed they were, no matter how busy the customers should be taken care of accordingly, if you cant handle the craziness at times then you need to reevaluate your business. As of today, I will not...
Read moreI always wanted to try this place because it was on the water, looked cute, yet divey. The patio is nice, our server was fantastic. The drinks were pricey and so was the food. $4.50 for high life and domestics. (crazy! a six pack of high life is like… $6-7.. that’s over a 380% markup…) For the price of drinks, you’d think the food would be substantial…think again!
My husband got the fisherman’s basket and was disappointed in the portion size for $18. It was one small to medium fish fillet and 5 fried shrimp with fries. I got the bbq flatbread and I swear to god there was no chicken on it. If there was, it was shredded and very very skimpy. Might as well have been cheese, i honestly couldn’t tell. The flatbread was $10 and a 6 or 8 inch square. I usually eat light and I still left hungry. In short, we came. we saw. We probably won’t be back. Small portions and overpriced,...
