Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in McKinney

We have been to Chili's numerous times but had one of the most awful experiences tonight. I'm not one to typically write negative reviews but I have seen a steady decline in service, quality of food, and quantity of food. We waited 15-20 before our food order was ever taken. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our food to come. The restaurant was not particularly busy; it was a Wednesday evening. Mind you, a party of 2 and we ordered items off the $20 for 2 menu: Cajun chicken pasta and grilled chicken salad. When the food arrived we were immediately disappointed. Cajun pasta portion was nearly half the portion it was the last time we ordered from the 2 for $20. The salad arrived with the wrong requested dressing on and the grilled chicken on top was not even warm, not one bit! The waitress came by to check on us and I told her the salad had the wrong dressing (which I typically wouldnt have complained about but the dressing was a honey lime vinagerette, which wasn't very good). Her reply: "do you want a whole new salad or just the lettuce?" What?! She goes back to take care of the issue and I kid you not, we sat there 20 minutes waiting for a salad to come out. The waitress stopped by 2-3 times saying it was coming right out. A manager came out with the new salad and by that point I did not even want to be at the restaurant. The salad was comped, not by my request, which was the only redeemable thing about the visit. The cherry on top of one of the worst experiences here was that as we are using the "ziosk" to pay, the waitress comes and stands next to my boyfriend saying "oh you're not done paying, you have a survey to do. Give me all excellents to keep my rating high and then continues to stand there and watch him. AND then proceeds to say I drive here really far and work really hard. I'm sorry about the salad. This just pissed me off even more. No way in hell would we ever rate her with a good review. We have never, I mean never not left a tip. Trust me, my boyfriend is one who tips at least $15 every time we go out, but today there was no way we could tip her for the quality of service we received. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this location again, or any other location for...

This is my 2nd visit to this location. Food is great. 1st time visiting (Sat 2.1) , I was served by David. He was fantastic and made my visit enjoyable. Gave him very high ratings and tipped him well. I enjoyed that visit so much, that I returned again today for lunch (2.5). I had much less enjoyable experience being served by Barbara. I strongly encourage that Barbara receive sensitivity training or retraining on serving customers who are a different background than she. She greeted (better said scowled) at my daughter and I when we were seated. Asked what we wanted to eat, was condescending to my daughter while placing her order and very short with us overall. I chalked it up to her having a bad day, until she greeted the couple that was sitting behind us at the table directly behind me. The were the same background as she is. She was all smiles for them, very pleasant and courteous to them. She took their order pleasantly, brought their drinks and food to them quickly and even checked on them throughout their meal. We got none of that. She brought our drinks and food to us and never checked ok us at all, even while I could see her standing nearby and watching our table as we dined. She never asked if we wanted to take anything to go, as she did with the table behind us nor if there was anything else she could get for us...like the table behind us. She then brought us 2 seperate checks, making an assumption and not asking, and was a bit taken aback when I asked her if she could please combine it into one check. She quickly brought it back and disappeared. I paid and we left. I also want to point out that I observed other servers throughout our time today and none of the others were behaving in such a way. All were attentive, pleasant and fair to all of those they were serving. Again, I will try this location because I enjoy the food and the other servers and hosts. I do strongly suggest and ask that management please have a discussion with Barbara about sensitivity training or she needs to put her differences aside while at work. The ToGo lady apparently got upset because I questioned her and looked through my food order, to make sure everything was there. I didn't see the extra Chipotle sauce in the bag, or on top of my order... so she turns to me and says in an very irritated and rude sounding voice "it's there", then proceeds to pick up all of my fries and tenders and thumb through them with her non-gloved hands, which she was counting money and credit card receipts with, to show me it was buried beneath the food. Even the other waiter that was up front at the ToGo section saw what she did, and he asked me if I wanted him to just get me some more fries. I couldn't believe it!!! First, when I asked about the "missing" sauce, I directed my findings to the other waiter, not her; the fry feeler-upper just happened to be standing there still after she had gotten my order together. So, when I asked the question, the waiter asked her, "is it in there?" And in another rude tone after she molested my meal, and without her even looking up from her money counting this time, she says "yeah, he got it." I was fuming, but I maintained my composure. I guess this idiot didn't recognize me as the person who gave her a $20.00 tip the week before when I was there during a sit down meal. And the truth be told, the $20.00 tip was NOT given because of any stellar service we received, but merely because it seemed like she was having a bad night and I didn't have adequate change... NEVER again will I make that mistake. I would possibly go back to this chilli's again, but I would LITERALLY ask for another waiter if she was to be our waitress, and walk out if she came back over to my table. She is a sad example of a Chilli's employee... if I could give zero stars for this particular...
