Iām writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the treatment I received at the Golden Chick located at Custer and Highway 380 in McKinney.
What started as a routine lunch order quickly turned into one of the worst customer service experiences Iāve ever had. After placing a large order in the drive-thru, the staff memberāan older Hispanic gentlemanāwas rude and dismissive. I chose to let it go until I realized I had been overcharged for six items. When I went inside to resolve the issue and return the items I hadnāt ordered, he snatched them out of my hands and told me, āI gave you what you asked for.ā
I explained that I only ordered the Lotta Zing packages, but he responded by grabbing the receipt from me and walking off. Twenty minutes later, he came back and tried to run my card three more timesāfor $43 each. My bank even called to confirm my card hadnāt been stolen.
At this point, my coworker (a white woman) came inside to check on me, and he yelled at me, saying: āDO NOT TALK TO OUR CUSTOMERS!ā I calmly told him she was with me, and he continued to escalate.
Another customerāa Black manāattempted to intervene, and the employee became aggressive toward him as well. A white man behind me in line finally said, āYou donāt have to scream at her,ā and the employee responded with an incredibly offensive, racist remark:
āSir, Iām so sorry⦠you know how these people are.ā
Everyone in the store was shocked and disturbed by what they had just heard.
When I asked for the ownerās contact information, the employee refused to give it to me. I returned all of the food and drinks and informed him that if he charged my card, I would be returning.
This was not just bad serviceāit was racially charged, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. I will not return to this location as long as that employee is working there, and I strongly encourage Golden Chickās corporate office to investigate this matter seriously. No customer should be treated...

I get home after spending $52 on a chicken tender family box. I checked the box right after I left the drive-through. Everything seemed accordingly! Mind you I was hungry! But, I literally did not think about there NO NOT being ANY rolls in my box. I get home to serve my family realize there are ZERO rolls no biggie. I call up to the establishment the young lady who answered the phone super nice more than happy to make sure I got my rolls when I came up there, I sent my son up there to retrieve the rolls that were not placed in the box!!! Then the lady whom he dealt with (said she was the manager) berated him told him she watched with her OWN EYES another employee put the rolls in the box! Well at this point all I can think is Johnson ate my 8 rolls BEFORE he handed me my box through the drive though⦠because I got home and had ZERO ROLLS š¤·š»āāļøš She was very unprofessional and super rude basically accusing me of lying about eight rolls! š so basically⦠I just paid $52 for 15 tenders. 3-Lg sidesā¦. I must be broke and have to try to steal eight rolls , I really donāt think I understand this world of customer service or as I should say lack of customer service!! Iām sorry to Johnson who has to work with a teammate of that caliber. I will do Golden Chic a favor and stay away from its establishment and continue going to chicken express. Thank your. Today the lady that took the order in the drive thru was VERY rude and disrespectful when I was trying to place my order. She was rushing me and talking over me. I told her at the window that if she was busy she should of just told me and I could have waited patiently. She said she was the only working. I understand but that doesnāt give you the right to be rude. She was very combative at the drive through! I will Never come back to this location. The food was not great at all.
