McDonald's — Restaurant in McKinney

This McDonald’s has some serious leadership and training issues that need attention.

Restrooms are dirty and not being checked. Lobby is neglected with dirty tables and seats. When I ordered, food came out in about 5 minutes which was great. But customer service is basically nonexistent. No greetings, no acknowledgment. A simple “hello” or eye contact would go a long way.

The biggest issue is the front counter. Employees avoid it until they absolutely have no choice. I saw at least 6 people in the back, which is more than enough for a location that wasn’t busy. In 15 minutes I counted 7 cars in the drive-thru and 5 walk-in customers. Each walk-in waited around 5 minutes before anyone helped them. Staff looked over and then purposely avoided the counter. I dont understand why when someone walks in and the doorbell goes off they say "Welcome" yet avoid the customer 😒.

This feels like poor hiring, low pay, and high expectations from the company. You get what you pay for employees aren’t motivated to care. That all falls back on management and leadership not motivating their employees, moving them around to get things done and be successful.

Hope they get their stuff together. New location and already having basic simple issues.

Side note why does this location charge 49 cents for a large water and the McDonald's located of of Legacy charges 25 cents?

I ordered via the app & picked up curbside. The McDonald's worker was very nice and polite when she brought my order to my car. It wasn't a big order, 1 big breakfast with hotcakes which didn't include butter for both biscuit & hot cakes & the syrup was also not included in the bag, in my order was also a sausage egg biscuit & a chicken biscuit; however, upon returning home I realized the chicken biscuit was not in the bag. It was somehow replaced with a Sausage Egg Biscuit with Cheese. So my family member that doesn't eat pork had the great pleasure of watching the other family members eat while I made him some toast. Great way to end his last day of vacation with us. By the time I got home & realized their mistake I tried calling the store, more than once but no one answered. I would have never made it back to McDonalds's before they stopped serving breakfast if I had retuned in person. There was no butter or syrup for the Big Breakfast. My rating of 2 is because if what I ordered didn't make it into my bag it also means there was another customer with an incorrect order.
