MOD Pizza — Restaurant in McKinney

The current state of this place is disappointing. My son and I have come here frequently since the week it opened many years ago. It has always been consistent quality and service. Today was a different story. With only 2 staff members on duty, service was quite delayed. The pizzas took 3-4 times longer than normal to cook. I asked one of the employees about the delay. He said they are cooking them on low to keep from burning pizzas since they are short staffed. That is fine for most of the pizzas, but it sets up for the bottoms to be burned. Ours was fine because I asked them to remove them and check. Unfortunately not all customers had the same advantage. Several were complaining about burnt pizzas and having to get refunds. Because of the delay in initial prep, the line got long. I saw many people walk in and then turn right around and leave. I wish I had. I think the most disappointing part was the adding of ingredients. They were not evenly distributed or even in amounts. The cheese was basically piled high in the middle, causing potential uneven cooking and huge chunks of just crust around the edges. The dining area was obviously unattended by staff, so soft drinks were out, trash was piled, and tables were filthy. It felt strange with no music playing. I hate to see that this place we once enjoyed is headed toward a clear spiral of being closed. If this management doesn’t make changes, this location...

We have had several issues with this location…

First issue, we ordered Mod via DoorDash shortly after we were discharged home with our newborn. Our food was delivered quickly, however, one pizza was a completely different pizza. The order had the correct receipts, but the pizza was made wrong. My husband took the pizza up to the store & the manager on duty claimed it wasn’t their problem since we ordered through DoorDash, even though DoorDash didn’t physically make the pizzas, Mod did. And chose to not do a thing about it.

We tried to give them another shot today after a few months had gone by & we’re highly disappointed yet again! My parents & I ordered 3 pizzas using the app at 11a when they first opened. My dad went to pick up & brought the pizzas home. 1 out of the 3 pizzas was correct, 1 pizza was missing 2 toppings & another pizza was completely incorrect. So my dad took them back to the store. The employee claimed they didn’t have the toppings to make our pizzas. So you just create whatever pizzas you want & don’t let the customer know? What kind of service is that?

Highly disappointed in this location & if we return to a Mod Pizza, it will not be...

I wanted to update my review from a year or so ago because since I left it, they have resolved this issue with the ordering system, so we always get our pizza from here now! There have been a couple mixups here and there with toppings BUT nothing that’s prevented us from enjoying our meals and and the customer service is always good!

The pizza would be good if I could somehow order it…. I have never once been able to make an online order from their website because it is forever “not accepting online orders” - okay fine. So I try to call, just rings and rings and rings and maybe ONCE I have been sent to a machine to order from a robot - and cool, I don’t care, I’ll give my order to the robot as long as I can just make an order!! It’s so frustrating because this is one of very few places that I can get a pizza as a vegan but now I can’t even do that unless I guess I go THERE to order and wait. We always pick up so driving is not the problem but it’s way inconvenient and I just wonder if I am the only one who is having this issue??? How are they getting enough business if you can’t offer the same conveniences as other...
