I had appointment at hospital the other day and had mom with me for her errands as well. We decided to stop and get something to drink here. We don't live in town. The cashier at the window said my debit card wasn't working (mind you it worked everywhere else) and I wasn't provided a failed attempt receipt. But knowing these things happen I offered another card and it went through fine after waiting ten minutes. Today I was balancing my accounts and saw the original debit card transaction went through as well as my secondary credit card. I called the number on the receipt and talked to someone supposedly named Eric whom was also supposed to be the manager. He said to come on by for the refund and he'd take care of me no problem. I asked how long he'd be in today and he said all day up to 9pm. I explained I didn't have a specific time to drop by since we aren't in town but I'd be by later today. No problem he said. So I wrote his name down on the receipt I did have. I stopped by a few minutes ago and got the same cashier from the other day named Emmanuel. He argued with me, basically said it's only one ticket and he can't refund me. Then the argument started about if it took place or not and I pulled up my bank account on the phone and the secondary card account on the phone, showed both of them to him and he said well I'm refunding just to keep you as a customer but you can pay me back if it doesn't go through on your bank. I told him, it's not doing me a favor since it did go through on my bank and my other card...it's doing the right thing by a customer and not a favor! He finally have me the cash refund but not after basically telling me to pull out of the drive thru where he was trying to dismiss my claim or the info from the beginning and my refusing to. I'm not gonna go call the manager back cause obviously, that guy didn't inform anyone I said I'd be by and or leave a note. This cashier super ticked me off with his insults because basically I was a liar and trying to get something for free. Well I see it the other way around. Plus tried to tell me Eric doesn't work there but in the next breath...oh he left early. Well, I'd rather drive to East McKinney from now on if we want Sonic for any reason. Never going back to this location. How in the heck if I'm showing you two transactions went through for the same amount and within minutes of each other am I the bad guy here?...
Read moreI wanted to order a cream slush but since they didn't have it on the app, I placed a normal slushie order and called in asking if I could swap it to receive a cream slush. The person on the speaker(I assume the manager because there was only one worker in there) never confirmed nor denyed that they heard me ask about the cream slush and came out to confirm the name since I guess she couldn't hear us on the speaker very well. When she came out a couple minutes later with the normal slush, we asked about the cream slush since we had pushed the button to try and change it(again was never confirmed that she ever heard it even though that's what we started asking about as soon as the speaker was answered to which we were asked for the name and then hung up on.) She immediately got defensive and rudely told us that since we didn't order a cream slush that she couldn't give us the cream slush in exchange for the normal one. She said "I've seen others place orders for cream slushes so you should've placed an order for that." And without even giving us time to explain that there wasn't even an option to order a cream slush on the app, she walked off. I understand that she couldn't give us the cream slush in exchange but that was the first thing we asked about when we called in and she never told us she couldn't change it over the speaker, so it's not like we had been pushy about it. Additionally, the tone she used to tell us we couldn't have the cream slush was extremely rude and sounded like she was scolding a kid for doing something they shouldn't have. It seriously irked me considering we had never risen our voices or even gotten the chance to explain anything. Don't go to this sonic if you want good...
Read moreTL:DR RUDE, BAD FOOD - AVOID THIS LOCATION What a frustratingly dissapointing location. My family of 5 and I ordered today, and simply asked during the order process for ketchup to be included for my children. Was told it would be. When the order came out 10 minutes later (odd with only 3 cars and no drive thru activity) I asked again to be sure "Hey, is there ketchup in the bag for my children?) Was told that there was. I trusted this to be true, but it was not. I was given a single ketchup packet...for a family of five who all ordered meals. I guess we were expected to split it all between us. Assuming that would be insane, I hit the button, and asked for some ketchup for my children, assuming it was an honest mistake and oversight - It happens. I was told that they would have to charge me for it since I did not order it. I explained that I did order it and was told it was included. I was told I did not order it, and that I would be charged. I said I of course am not paying for ketchup...that would be insane. Was told they were then not going to serve me, and hung up. I attempted to resolve this simple issue of getting ketchup for kids, mind you this is for children... and was promptly ignored as I was ringing in. What an incredibly silly series of actions to take. They've lost hundreds of dollars of business per week from me, and thousands of dollars from everyone I'm going to now tell to avoid this location. What an absolute crap show and a clear way to drive a business...
