Swig — Restaurant in McKinney

Very intriguing concept. I remember as a kid I'd mix drinks together, myself. So it's interesting to see something similar. There is a wide range of drinks to choose from. I didn't notice they had boba tea until I saw the menu at the window. A shame because I would have ordered one. I will return another time. The drink I chose was The Tropics. I don't like super sweet drinks, so I opted out of trying anything with soda. This one has a lemonade base instead. The acidity balances out with the sweet vanilla cream they added. However, I would have added some water to my drink, because Im not fond of bold in-your-face flavors. I can definitely taste the mango hints and they compliment the lemonade. The cookie I ordered was cold. I prefer to warm my cookies. It was a little gritty in texture. And the taste was a little off. I'm going to warm it up later and fix my review on this section. UPDATE: the cookie was awful. I tossed it in the trash. It tastes chemically and gritty. Overall I'll give it three stars for the concept, and the fast friendly service...

I recently visited Swig and had a great experience thanks to two outstanding employees: Sariah, the General Manager, and Paytyn, who took my order.

Paytyn was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and enjoyable. She greeted me with a warm attitude and ensured my order was accurate. She also showed great product knowledge, making recommendations that enhanced my experience. Her professionalism and customer service made a great first impression.

Sariah, as the General Manager, demonstrated strong leadership. The store was running smoothly, and the staff seemed well-coordinated, which speaks to her ability to manage operations effectively. She also took the time to engage with customers and ensure that the service met high standards. Her presence made it clear that she cares about both her employees and customers.

I was dissatisfied with my experience here. The drive through only queuing concept works as seen by other drink restaurants (think Dutch Bros), but this location is lacking the coordination needed to pull this off.

The young man who took my order was fine. The young lady at the window clearly needed to go home because she had terrible customer service. I waited at the window (never mind the time in line) for 10 minutes for one drink. My “blended” drink was choppy, icy, lacked flavor, had crunchy boba and was not filled. I asked her if it was supposed to look the way it did, and she said this was normal. I sincerely hope that response was her attitude talking and not truth because if so this products is unacceptable.
