After 3 years of doing business here with our party of seven we had an incident that shows what Gondola's really thinks about their customers. We have been trouble free customers with a party of seven. Always paying and tipping, even sometimes tipping for pizza that we took out. They never had to wait and never lost a dime from us. We had been in to sit down more times than I can count and easily could spend $100. Their service was never that great and the food really wasn't that great. We experienced the bland, we experienced the cold food, we experienced the hit and miss service and vegetable plate fillers. We always took it in stride. On a regular basis I ordered pizza to go for my family. Sometimes, even for birthday parties, we would order our pizza here. They NEVER did us ANY favors, neither did we request any favors. One day, I made my pizza order and then found out I left my purse at home. I called them right back to inform them of what had happened. I let them know I hope they hadn't already started the pizzas but that if they had started, could they please put it to my account, and I can pay them next time I come in. They chose to throw my pizzas in the trash. Three large pizzas. That evening, I was coming into town again and I made my pizza order again. They complained and tried not to let me order but they did then and let me pay when I arrived. This evening, I called ahead for order and they told me that I could not order. Instead I had to come in and pay and wait 20 minutes in the car with my five children. Because of the time they threw the pizzas away. They did not care that I was on my way and had my purse with me or that they had already let me order ahead since then without prepaying and that it was successful as usual. Nobody made them throw those pizzas away. They have lost a loyal customer over there disingenuity. Apparently they don't value...

We had the lunch buffet on Friday March 9,2018 @ 11:45 am, there are good and bad points to our lunch. First the bad so that I can end on a good note. The food was ok. All of the vegetables are canned accept the fried okra. They where mushy and flavorless. The "lasagna" was more of a hamburger helper. It was salty, mushy and had a metallic flavor. The chicken was ok. It was battered and fryed, nothing notable bad or good. Really lackluster in my opinion. The pizza was not great. It has good topping but the crust was barley cooked and flavorless. The salad bar needed fresh food. Now that I have covered most of the bad here are the good. The fried fish was good. It was a bit greasy but what fried food isn't? It was even better tasting when it cool down a bit. The fried okra was nice. It had flavor. The mashed potatoes seemed to be real potatoes. The brown gravy was good. The tarter sauce was good. Not to salty not to sweet a really good balance. My husband liked the hush puppies I did not. I felt they where lacking in flavor. However they where cooker wonderful. The staff there was wonderful. Table kept clean, drinks refilled, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. Over all it was clean and comfortable. Even with it busy it did not feel busy. For 2 buffets and a soda it right at $20. So not bad for a lazy...

A friend and I ate here last night. I had been to several Gondola restaurants in the area before. So the meal started normal. The waitress introduced herself. My friend asked her what kind of rice they serve. She said she didn't know, that she would have to ask. But instead of going and asking she just stood there. Then I asked her what vegetables come in their sauteed vegetables. She responded with, "they're vegetables." She had NO menu knowledge whatsoever and no intention of finding out the information we had requested. Everytime we asked a question she'd respond with "I think." My friend at one point even asked her to verify and she just stood there. Moving on to the food. I ordered a cheeseburger. It didn't come with a side which was very odd to me but the cheeseburger had good flavor and it was pretty good. My friend ordered chicken with bacon and cheese and it too was very good. It was tender and juicy. Moving on to dessert, I'd ordered cheesecake. When it arrived you could tell it was completely overdone. It was so hard I could smack it with a fork and it stayed in tact. It was the driest cheesecake I have every tasted. Just didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. Food was good but I probably will stick with the...

Since 3.5 isn’t an option I would lean towards a 4 star rating. Solid food. Not the best but better than a lot of food in the area. It’s “above average”. We got cheese pizza, eggplant parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo and a cannoli. Pizza was ok. Maybe the least favorite of the dishes we got. Crust was good, cheese was decent. Fettuccine was the best thing we got. Nice ratio of vegetables. The eggplant was the weird one of the bunch. We are from philly and I grew up eating home cooked Italian meals and I have never seen eggplant parmigiana on a hamburger bun. I was actually kinda shocked when I saw it lol. It wasn’t bad but mentally I couldn’t get over it not being on a hoagie roll. Also the sauce and cheese ratio was kinda weak. More sauce and cheese would of went along way. But the eggplant it’s self was good. Came with a pickle which was also strange for eggplant parm but also I like pickles so we weren’t mad about it. Overall My wife and I agreed that the food was good enough for us to try it again. Lots of signs up about the award winning cheesecake so I will return to atleast try that!
