Every single visit my husband and I are so pleased with the food we receive.

The staff have always been patient, friendly, and very kind. The food here is GREAT! We have tried a variety of different options at Hickory Creek and they've all yet to disappoint. The price point is affordable, but on top of that, the portions served are large and ample enough to have plenty of left overs. In addition to the price and portion size, the quality of care in preparation is evident. Every spot has bad days, but we have yet to see one ourselves at Hickory Creek.

The pulled pork sandwiches are hefty portions and the sauce accompanying them is absolutely delicious AND homemade. I believe we paid 8-9 dollars for a plate, and you get every penny's worth from this establishment. My husband and son have tried the ribs as well, they are tender juicy and succulent, with just the right amount of smokey flavor. My husband remarked that the potato salad is the best he has ever had in his life, and this guy loves potato salad.

You can also purchase bottles of Hickory Creek's homemade barbecue sauce, you will not regret it. The regular sauce has a sweetness to it that meshes well with the mild smokey flavors and tangy notes in the sauce. If you get the hot barbecue sauce, the heat really enhances the flavors without being wildly hot, but adding just the right kick.

We stopped to pick up pulled pork BBQ and some sides. We were second in line in the drive through. The wait time was reasonable given the nature of putting custom orders together. The service at the windows was very pleasant, although I did not expect to be prompted for a tip in a drive through. We brought the order home and it was so good! I was disappointed that there was no BBQ sauce included in our two-pound order. I’m not certain if that was an oversight or if I was supposed to order/pay for it. Luckily we had some sauce in the fridge. As good as the BBQ was, I would have like to have tried their sauce… assuming it is made by them. I was really excited to try the BBQ here, the drive up line alone made it look worthwhile. After looking at pictures online my fiance and I decided on a pork chop and the fritter sandwich. As we were going to pay, someone from the back yelled at the poor lady at the window that they were out of pork chops and to stop trying to sell them. She looked at us and said shoot me now, seems like a hostile work environment. After all that, we settled on just the fritter sandwich. And here's the bigger disappointment. The pork had zero flavor, minimal bbq sauce, coupled with a stone cold fritter and coleslaw it was pretty terrible. I love the idea but it needs to be improved...
