We visited Tennessee for the first time today and after a full day of hiking we wanted to have some good authentic Mexican food and this place exceeded our expectations! My husband is from California and he has high standards for mexican food and he was impressed with the quality and taste of the food that we had here. Everything was so delicious and made fresh. The chips and salsa were so good, the chips were warm & crispy and the portions are large too. We got the taco combination plate, we ordered carne asada tacos, birria tacos and rice & beans. Everything was delicious! And their green hot sauce is so good. I also ordered horchata and the drink is well made very tasty, and it’s a large drink! Our waiter was a nice young man who was very attentive, gave us refills, fast service, and made sure we had everything we needed. This was one of our favorite restaurant experiences while visiting Tennessee. I also love that they have outside seating. We had our puppy with us and we had the perfect table outside and it was nice and comfortable. Come and visit this place! You will enjoy the food and the atmosphere....
Read moreThis is by far the best Mexican restaurant in McMinnville! I wish I could give more stars. The food is always fresh and authentic. When I say authentic I mean it's real Mexican food like is served by real Mexican families instead of what the majority of Mexican restaurants with copycat menus all serve. But they can fix you the Americanized dishes you're familiar with too. Get out of your comfort zone and try something new, you won't be disappointed! The salsa and green sauce is always freshly made. The house made tortillas are the best in town. You'll have to get invited to someone's abuella's house to find any better. The owner and his family and staff always go out of their way to make sure your meal is good and you feel welcome there. I've eaten here a couple times a month for the past couple of years and always have a great meal. If something comes out not quite right let them know and they will make it right. Try the pastor, you'll like...
Read moreFood/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered a regular Steak Fajita, a Steak Jack Fajita, and a Lengua Taco. The steaks on the fajita were quite dry and the cheese was needed to help it along. The onions could have used a bit more of a cook to make it softer to match the texture of the bell peppers. The taco was good but you do have to ask separately for sauce!
Service: 4/5 - friendly but each server had their own section and refused to even look or acknowledge customers of other sections.
Ambiance: 4/5 - lots of seating but lots of tables that needed to be cleaned even as the store slowed. The furniture were a bit worn overall
Value for price: 4/5 - the lunch pricing is decent at just under $9 per fajita but there was some weird pricing thing going on. The check they gave us charge a higher price than the menu for each item but they gave a "discount" to the original price when they ran our...
